The Elder Scrolls Online

Beta starts at the end of this month, I have an "excellent" chance of participation apparently. Although I dunno why I bothered as I've got so much Uni stuff to do!

Anyone else looking forward to this anyway? This game is going to be fucking huge considering the whole of Skyrim only takes up one area!

info:

Reported to have the biggest game budget of all time as well, at £300 million.

edit: And unlike other Elder Scrolls games, it's PC only.

It'll be interesting to see how this works out. I'll no doubt end up playing with my mates, having played the TES games since Morrowind. The games have a bit of a history of bugs so it could potentially be a bit of a disaster.

Even the video ran on a lag, not a good sign.

PC only sucky, Never played on PC, can any pc gamer, explain how it is played on PC, Ihave only ever played FM on the PC?

I'm not sure what you're asking. You use a mouse and keyboard if that's what you're asking.

The game is an mmo. Mmo games are shite imo. Won't be getting it. That'll be why its pc only as well, don't tend to see these games on console. Its not made by the same ppl who do tes, will probably be shite and won't play like an elder scroll game.

If u like mmo's tho, then they're trying hard to replicate the style and environments, might be quite fun for those folk.

Edit: Skyrim on pc blows console version out the water. Small load times, much better graphics (enb's), bug fixes, command console (great if u want to make a huge battle) mods for almost every little annoying thing (no more petty souls in grand soul gems, can pick up leveling books without reading them, fix auto-aim with bow, magic being more balanced) also some quest mods ate starting to come out, so more content. All of it free as well.

PC only means the game should be better for it. I often feel the quality of games can be diluted when they decide they're going to port it to a console that isn't as powerful as a gaming PC and devs limit themselves around it.

Or of course you could use an XBox pad if you wanted.

Add to that the almost limitless modding possibilities. I've some great weapon and armour mods, as well as tweaks and graphics updates that aren't included in the standard patches.

PC= master race 8)

Can be good for some games, I played Batman Arkham City with an xbox controller.

Games are indeed much better on PC, still a shame that there's not a console version though as Oblivion and Skyrim have gained lots of fans by being on the consoles, shame for them to miss out.

And Bethesda are publishing it and ensuring the game meets their standards, this is a proper Elder Scrolls game.

Can u get a controller?

Edi:t never mind

Can simply plug an xbox controller into the usb port. Whilst mouse and keyboard is significantly better for most games, the controller is better for some like Batman and Assassin's Creed being two I've used a controller for recently.

I think your chances of getting into the beta are based solely on how many questions you answer, not what you answer, sorry to disappoint. :P

I've also applied, would love to get in. Either way, I can't wait for this game.
