You could play as bad as you have all season and still beat us, we're in absolute freefall at the moment.

Only we could get to 5-0 and still have a lingering sense of unease while watching the vidiprinter! In all seriousness, an absolutely terrific result! Looking forward to hearing the details.

5-3. Sort it out Elgin. Glad I never went tonight. First Elgin game I've willingly missed since 2008.

Says it all really.

Surprised that there's so little input from our fans.

What a superb first 60 minutes. We were frighteningly good, carving up the City defence. It did look like we'd get to double figures.

Fair play to them and they didn't let their heads drop.

Still, 9 goals in two games up there this season. Can we play you every week?

Bonkers match and well worth taking time off work for.

First half was a relentless attacking performance that Elgin just couldn’t cope with. The first 2 goals were well worked with composed finishes, and Spittal showed great reactions at the 3rd to put in the rebound after hitting the post initially. Not long after that he was straight through again but put it wide. Could have been 6 nil at half time easily

MOTM for me was Sean Burns. Elgin couldn't handle him. He was superb but he’s been playing like that since the start of the year, his game is now far more consistent than it used to be.  Great celebrations at the 5th goal with him and all the team over to the punters. Also delighted to see big Keenan bundle in a goal, nice reward for the shift he put in.

Bit of a crazy finish but a comeback was never on. If we're gonnae concede 3 goals then I cannae think of a better time to do it to be honest...

Couldn't really be more happy with the players for this response to the Montrose defeat, especially with Longworth and Connolly unavailable
