FTA: "We've worked hard for him, and he's working really hard for us - both on and off the park."

Clearly he is a valuable asset for Hibs and has shown that on the field, but his recent "activities"  away from that have been nothing short of disgraceful. Should Fenlon be praising him for that?

It might well be the case that Griffiths has acknowledged his errors and worked alongside the manager to cut out the nonsense. Of course it would be a very recent turnaround but you never know. We are not party to the goings on behind the scenes. If it is the case, then he is a young lad and no-one can be condemned forever for crimes which let's face it, in relation to much more serious ones which would carry harsher punishments, were minor. If it's only because he's scoring goals then time will tell and we'll see if Leigh truly has turned over a new leaf or not.

Of course I'll more inclined to hope that he has though. His off-field antics aside, he's been wonderful for us this season and all SPL sides want a player in their team that scores lots of goals, as do the Managers.

Griffiths must be careful not to follow the path of a few talented players who thought they could get away with anything as long as they were scoring goals for their clubs. IMO those days are over and most managers now recognise this and are more willing to challenge such behaviour. For his sake I hope Griffiths buckles down and listens to Fenlon and only by his off field actions will we know if he has He has the potential to become a great player and should take a look at what has happened to Kris Boyd as a good analogy

Can't argue with his goal tally. Potentially another wasted talent like rat boy.

There's absolutely no point in whoever loses this trying to counter any bragging. All or nothing.-SodjesSixteenIncher

This match resulted in Heart of Midlothian being crowned Scottish Cup Champions for the third time in 14 years after a 5-1 victory over Hibernian.

Since 1902, 112, 10 in a row.

Fenlon is right to praise Griffiths in that he is his player and is currently (most would argue) the in-form player in Scotland, it would look odd if he didn't praise him.

It's the "both on and off the park" bit I was questioning. Certainly no problem with praising him for his on field performances.

Maybe the stolen items were part of Pat's shopping list.

Top player on the pitch though, and if someone can get him to screw the nut then what an asset he could become for Scotland.

Fenlon shouldn't be praising his off-field activities until he sharpens up his shoplifting skills.

Praise him on the park. That's fine, his goal count is impressive.

However, if he wasn't a pro footballer and did what he did off field, he'd be the perfect advert for abortion.

Also, he should stop breeding. This is not the fact I'm a Hearts fan that makes me say this, this is just a fact. He is an ugly ugly boy and should stop breeding.

It may well be Hibs pointed out the way Ratboy screwed up his career & that he was heading the same way if he didn't give himself a shake. Certainly he's appeared to be more focussed on the field lately & with Hibs - bar disaster - looking to be getting a second bite of the cherry come May that's more important than ever.

He may be, but he works hard in training and even harder on the pitch as well as showing his passion to the fans as he clearly loves Hibs.

That's why Fenlon is giving him credit.

It's interesting that some draw a parallel with Derek Riordan. While there are some similarities, Griffiths' on field work rate and desire is Infinitely better than Riordan's ever was.

That's why I think he will have a good career, rather than it going down the shitter.
