For peasants like me who were unable to join the actual beta, there's current a weekend stress test going on. On the rare occasions that you're able to log in you'll find, well, a Diablo game, which is to say an awesomely simple hack and slash. My brother and I cleared half the content last night and when I'm able to get back online today - hopefully this evening - I'll be finishing the rest. Release is May 15th, pretty much worldwide (Russian language version will follow in June.) I've already decided that my first character will be a Wizard. If you're patient enough to sit hammering a login server for a while (although they're calling it 'Open Beta' it's really a stress test, not a gameplay test, so expect lots of instability/disconnections) I highly recommend giving it a shot. As you say though, it's a stress test so I've not bothered with it as I'll just end up getting annoyed. What do you make of it? I'm getting a new desktop next month and I'm looking for good PC games. It's a great mindless hack and slasher. Have finished the beta - only takes a couple of hours. If you have a fast DL speed I'd suggest giving it a go because despite the frustration of logging in, you'll know within 90 minutes if it's a game for you or not.
