Thoughts? We got a very welcome win up there in August, but Saints turned the tables with a thumping East End win on Xmas Eve. Bizarrely, I felt Saints played better in the game in Perth than they did at East End.

Hopefully we'll have McMillan and Kirk available, and Rusty's injury isn't too serious. St Johnstone are an excellent side and we'll need to be at our best to get something.

Hopefully a good Pars support will travel up - big game for us!

I'm not going unfortunately. A win would be great!

You guys planning on winning a game soon and watch the arse fall out of the Hibees?
Can't wait to see the SPL panic and bring in a new rule that their can only be 3 teams from north of Perth.

Not sure if I'm going. Hopefully Sandancer is still on poor form so we have less to worry about at the back. If we have the option, I'd put McDougall on at some point. Surely McIntyre has realised that Hardie is not a forward.

I don't get all the Hardie abuse. He had a great game in that role against Caley. No one has mentioned that Cardle has been shite for months.

It's a head scratcher as to why McDougall isn't getting a chance to prove himself. The only reason i can think of is he is not fit enough. However, he has been back in the squad for a few games now so that shouldn't be the case.
The fightback is over.

If Kirk recovers, I assume he'll be back in. Perhaps go with Kirk and Hardie again ala ICT?

Agree. I rate McDougall. Good pace and I think he's one of our more skillful players. I'd like to see him given a chance.

Seriously?

You will need to be at your best to get anything but that's because your team is rubbish. To call St Johnstone ' excellent ' is rather hyperbolic to say the least.

Not at all, they're 5th in the league for a reason.

Now if I had called St Mirren "excellent" "exciting" "good to watch" that would have been extremely hyperbolic to say the least.

Aye, Good luck in life.

Yes, seriously. In the context of the majority of the league, they are an excellent side - to get where they are currently is great testimony to them, as nobody realistically expected them to be where they are.

Forgive me, but getting half way up the SPL does not make you an excellent side. They have played us 3 times this season and scored a grand total of 0 goals in those games. If they're excellent, what are we?

Can't disagree with that. We play dull negative football, hence 3 nil nils on the bounce.

Wouldn't quite agree we played better in the home game than at EEP - but definitely don't think we deserved to lose the home game, with Dunfermline scoring with their only attack of note and us being denied at every turn! Must have been one of Dunfermline's best defensive displays of the season!

We need to start putting the ball in the net again, especially at home. A win here would set us up for the upcoming run where we are going to have to be a bit more consistent to secure fifth and push for fourth. I think we can safely rule out third now!

Any team news for Dunfermline? Suspect we'll be without Anderson which is a bit of a blow at the back, but other than that we should have a relatively strong squad to pick from.

Should have mcmillan and kirk back, rutkiewicz is a doubt, turner, kerr and barrowman are out along with our long term absentees.

Seriously thinking of coming down for this game, not sure yet though. I walked out after 2-0 of the last game at East End we were so bad.
Same rules apply.

Starting to sway to going to this. Must be mental.

Why do St Johnstone not offer any student concessions?

In regards to the game, i can't see us winning. Reading some Dunfermline fans comments (not necessarily those on here), they reckon that we have a great chance of winning against St Johnstone, get a grip, we've only won two games in the last six months ffs!

Had a run of games on the bench but not in the squad at all for Rangers and ICT games. Back on the bench last night. Hope he makes an appearance soon.

The number of chances to pick up points are rapidly escaping us. Hope we put in a performance akin to the victory at Rugby Park.
Was/is Kerr the spark that we need? Could Clarke be recalled from the Wee Team™ to bang in some goals or does JM just not like the boy?

Fond memories of trips up to Perth. Is the 208 pub still on the go?

Better attitude to have really. It's the hope that keeps fans going to games.

I think you have to question his decisions on who he has kept and let go, we only had two forwards who could win the ball in the air and he let one go on loan yet kept on Phinn and others who were injury prone.
Got more central midfielders than Barca, shame they're all injured.
