I've just read this article on the "In Bed With Maradona" blog arguing that Falkirk has one of the best youth programmes in the country. It's great to see Falkirk's youth programme get some praise, even if it is on a blog. What has made this season so enjoyable as a fan has been seeing a squad of mainly young players who are playing for the jersey, something we didn't see in the dying days of Falkirk's run in the SPL. Falkirk's cup win against Dundee United epitomised this spirit. Clubs like Hamilton Accies have also benefited greatly from focussing energy on their youth programmes in the past and I hope other clubs in Scotland follow suit.

Yes thats right. MacPherson has absolutely no interest in youth and certainly wouldnt pick young players in his team.
