My evidence? You mean the own accounts of the players? So we've gone from "he said/she said" to "well, they both said the same thing, but I've decided that they might have said something else". Where is YOUR evidence?

What evidence do you need?

Why dont you quote where suarez denied saying "negro" then? Or where Evra denied "negro" was said?

As much as you would like to, you can't just ignore history. Sorry.

And you aren't seriously asking the difference between insulting someone for being black and for being Scottish are you? Because that would be monumentally stupid.

Here's the FA rule: E3(2)
"In the event of any breach of Rule E3(1) including a reference to any one or more of a person's ethnic origin, colour, race, nationality, faith, gender, sexual orientation or disability (an "aggravating factor"), a Regulatory Commission shall consider the imposition of an increased sanction,"

So Deky's offended Scotsman could take his case through the same process. The FA report on Suarez-Evra could be understood to support him in doing so, based on the discussion about subjectivity and objectivity. It doesn't say they will consider all insults equally, which is your point, but if a case came up now, they'd look pretty hypocritical if they ignored their own rule. 2 game suspension as the entry point for the breach of E3(1), doubled to 4 for the breach of E3(2). Over the top for some ("you'd get less for kicking him") and to others, a quick way to clamp down on immature disrespectful behaviour.

Nations and races are not interchangeable deky. Surely even someone of your limited intellect can understand that.

Sorry, I'm obviously struggling to understand your point due to my limited intelligence.

Would a Pakistani/Scottish bastart insult be acceptable?

Racism is not a black or white issue, no matter how the highly intelligent try and spin it.

I'd also blame his club. I can't imagine he didn't discuss his response with club officials before releasing it. Assuming this is the case, and given Liverpool's excellent record of blaming everyone else, i'm quite surprised they didn't consider this strategy.

I'd summarise the whole situation as:

Evra: Bit of a c**t
Suarez: Total c**t
Dalglish: Spineless c**t
Liverpool: Paranoid c***s
LFC fans: Utter c***s

You missed,

I'd also add that unlike Dalglish, Ferguson mostly kept a lid on things until the initial investigation was over. Where Dalglish and Liverpool were making incredible statements, and going on and on about the case, Ferguson was limiting his comment and urging people to wait until the investigation was over. When the verdict was announced, he defended his player, but didn't cast aspersions about Suarez. I'm no fan of Ferguson's conduct (I'm frequently amazed that he gets away with the way he speaks to refs), but I think on this one, he had it spot on.

Even yesterday, when he was clearly furious, he took the time to criticise Evra for his actions. Dalglish could learn a lot from the way Ferguson has conducted himself in this saga.

Spot on.
