Just playing F1 on the xbox and was thinking, why do they never have old tracks as an unlockable feature? Got me thinking of all the tracks i've seen raced on that are now defunct due to all the 'new wave' tracks that are built and how they would stand up in the modern era.
Adelaide and Imola are probably 2 of my faves that i'd love to see back but what about the rest of you all, what's you're fave track that is now off the calendar and why?

Donington, Nordschleife, Hockenheim (Old), Imola.
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. Estoril in Portugal was a favourite of mines on the old F1 1997 game (even though they didn't use the track in real life that year cos of safety reasons) as was the track in Argentina. I would rather have those tracks TBH that some of the Tilke tracks - Turkey and China for starters. Malaysia and Bahrain are 50/50 too.

Would love to have seen racing on the 16+ mile Pescara road circuit. There's a great book by Richard Williams about the race in this video, called 'The Last Great Road Race.'
Also, Rouen. Very fast and flowing track with lots of elevation changes. About 30 seconds into this clip is the downhill right-hander called Six Freres, where the great Scottish driver Gerry Birrell lost his life due to a tyre failure in 1973. Birrell was expected to replace Jackie Stewart at Tyrrell the following year. Much of his car was salvaged and used to build fellow Scot Jim Crawford's first Chevron single-seater. I know this because I've met the mechanic who was with Birrell at Rouen and subsequently rebuilt the car for Jim.

Good shout. I was never much of a Mansell fan, but remember being amazed as a youngster watching his overtake on Berger at the banked final corner, Peraltada. A scary place to get it wrong, as Senna found out and also where arguably Mexico's greatest racing talent Ricardo Rodriguez crashed fatally.

Old Hockenheim and the A1 ring as well for some strange reason.
