Might come along to this. It's been a while since I was in Rutherglen! Is the park still on the main road next to the petrol station? I might be wrong but I'm sure I heard it was moving due to the M74 extension.

Straight through Rutherglen Cross heading for Hampden & take the 1st on the right. You will see the Stadium lights from there along on the right hand side.
Might see you there all being well.

Southcroft Park has been closed for almost 6 years now, The Clyde Gateway Stadium is in Toryglen Road, beside the Burnhill Sports Centre.

Not at all. When you have a relatively small support it is good to be able to communicate and keep folks in the loop. Its their club too.
Have to look to next years seasons ticket sales too!

A wee bump up the board for this one, for those who may have missed it and fancy an evening out of the house.

Smashing game. Couldn't beleive how quick the 2nd half went in. Glencairn the better side through out, but Wishaw pushed them much closer in the 2nd half, & went close on at Least 3 occasions.
Both Glens goals came in the 1st half, the 2nd from the spot. They played the game at a good tempo for 90mns& created several chances.
Cheers to Taxisaint for the excellent Bovril & lift to the train station.

It was a decent evening's entertainment, given that The Glens started with 3 trialists, 2 players from the under 21s, and 6 players from the 1st team squad who haven't seen much pitch time recently, and also brought on another trialist in the 2nd half. Wishaw started with 8 trialists in their starting XI and had another 2 on the bench.
Glencairn's recent regular first team starters were all left out and spent the first hour of the game doing sprints around the touchline and laps of the pitch under the instruction of Joe Pryce, and Ross Ballantyne and Brett Agnew were relieved to be given the "rest" of a substitute appearance after an hour.
So it's hard to read much into this game, but it was a decent evening's entertainment, and the banter was good as usual.
