Is this likely to be on? Any important missings for either side?

Gemmell and Stevenson are both suspended. Pitch - should be fine, It's been pretty mild recently.

"Full-back Barry Russell is available again and new signings Jack Werndly and Daniel McKay could also be included in the matchday squad." ADV

Not going to count my chickens as save for the one in the freezer I don't currently own any, but Gemmell being out is great news for us...
The score remains 4-1 and counting...

Not a great game, but good to fight back for a draw. I hope Scott Chaplain can immediately put that miss behind him. Encouraging link up play between Barry Russell and Jordan Halsman, the latter easily MotM.

I would say a draw was a fair result although had we taken our chances in the first 20 minutes Rovers wouldn't have had a look in. Mimd you the last 20 minutes the Mighty Fife were just hanging on.

Quite an amazing miss from your guy but we also had at least three chances where, if our player had passed rather than gone for glory, we probably would have scored.

Pitch dire as always but it's the same for each team.
Yes, of course we can.

Really enjoyed the game today . Massive point for us. Missed chances on both sides as said, but we really did not deserve to lose that. New players looked decent. Nothing to fear on tue when gemmell returns? :) also Up to 8th. :)

End to end stuff today with a draw the fair outcome. Rovers are quite obviously not going to go down without a struggle and good luck to them.
Got to say though that in over 40 years of watching fitba that has to top the lot in terms of missing an open goal...
The score remains 4-1 and counting...

Can't disagree, angus; and from a player who scores many difficult goals. When he nicked the ball away from the keeper, he seemed to misjudge the pace he'd put on it, and got his feet in a fankle.

Can any Rovers insiders explain the absence of Fahey and Acquah - are they away?

Overall a draw was a fair result. Up until our goal, I thought we were the better team and should have had one or two before then. The goal seemed to give Rovers a massive kick up the arse and they dominated the game from then on. I ended up feeling fairly satisfied to leave with a point.

Chaplain's miss was probably the worst I've ever seen.

got to agree, in watching lower league sfl for not much less, got to be the worst miss i have witnessed, a draw just about the fair result, east fife had certainly the better of the first hour or so with the rovers coming more into it the more the game wore on, a draw just about right, imo, the subs should have been introduced sooner as i thought we improved after love & boyle were introduced

How did Danny Mckay get on? He tweeted that he was happy to get 90 minutes. He must not have played a competitive game in about 8 months.

Good luck on your Valentines Day away trip Rovers.

He led the line well, put himself about, and can be happy with his debut. Plenty of energy and looks athletic - looks like a useful addition. Do you know him, Butch? Where in Ayrshire is he from?

He did really well - looked pretty mobile for not having played for 8 months, he made our goal with some great work at the edge of the box - caused problems and gave 100% - can't ask for more. A welcome addition to our squad. Was also impressed with Jack Wernbly - who played his 1st game also.

Glad to hear McKay impressed. I don't know him personally but I think he's from Barrhead. Killie loaned him to us twice, and I thought he looked superb in his first spell, really promising. Didn't set the heather on fire second spell, but we were hardly creating too much around that time and we were playing pretty poorly.

I'd like to see him do well, and even moreso now that he's left the Killie... :D I wish you guys the best of the luck for the rest of the season, I'll keep a wee eye out.

No according to people on Rovers message Board we have signed him until end of season after he was released by Killie.

Apparently not Stephen- he's a signing rather than a loanee although I'm sure that's not what was stated at the time he was announced as an acquisition.

Any one else think that PM should get on the phone sharpish to Stuart McCall and secure Jordan Halsman until the end of the season?
Thought he was our best player on Saturday and could have finished with 2 goals. He was always looking for the ball at throw-ins and generally put himself about and caused all kinds of problems.

Agree with everyone else on Chappies miss - inexplicable

Was going to ask the same question, Pm doesn't seem to rate Acquah judging by all the Strikers he's signed recently. To be honest I thought Acquah has looked great in all the games I have seen him coming on as a sub he certainly is lightning quick, surprised he hasn't been on bench recently so he could be away, injured or Pm just doesn't fancy him. When was the last time he came on as a sub? As for Fahey was there not a rumour he was away back to the juniors?

It's slightly unsatisfactory that we're not told.

Absolutely, Shakey - my only concern is that McCall might actually have plans for him. He looks like at least a first division player to me. Puts in cracking crosses, good in the tackle, and linked well with Barry Russell - gives some optimism for survival in this division.

Larry was at the game on Saturday and wasn't picked so left - Chris was working - he's still signed to the club - from twitter btw. - also agree we should be getting more out of Larry but to be fair we don't see the players at training every week.

Also Jamie Gilmartin news - http://www.pieandbov...ost__p__5961066

Since the `old` website folded the only team news we seem to get is stuff recycled from other sources ie `Tiser, BBC etc

Still we are `only` supporters

It's been like that for a lot longer than you describe. Indeed, the club decided to 'freeze out' the old website long before it finally died, which meant any news that it did contain was coming through trusted guys like Bill Walker on the Message Board rather than the News pages of the site itself.

To be honest, I think we do o.k. for news through Colin Paterson nowadays, and you still get the chat with those in the know on the terraces on a Saturday. However, the main bone of contention for me remains that the Rovers Message Board has long been neutered in terms of any sort of rational discussion, with most of those who hold 'alternate' opinions either chucking internet posting altogether or posting over here. However, I doubt that will ever change, especially as those with hairs between their teeth seem quite content in their sheltered little world.
