Think this game has a fighting chance of going ahead. Good thaw on, still depends on the weather though.
Anyone at a loose end on Saturday, can hop on a train at Glasgow Central low level at 5mns to, or 25mns past the hour, the fare is £5.30 return. The pitch is 2mns walk from Larkhall Central.
Bellshill excell at a nice silky, short passing game, none of that long ball kick & rush rubbish.
The Jags of course will turn up & do our best.
Good luck to all concerned,

MON THE JAGS.

Hopefully this is on as we have a interest as we play the winners.

I do expect with it been played at Gasworks you will have too much but you just never know in cup tie footy.

Down to what happens on the day KR, should be a decent game though.

0-1 Bellshill Muir scoring after 35mns, good breakaway goal slightly against the run of play. Bellshill ended the half on top & might have extended their lead.

Larkhall Thistle 2-1 Bellshill

Muir finished off a fine breakaway to give Bellshill a 0-1 lead at half time.
Gracie equalised after an hour when his deflected free kick flew past Calder in the Bellshill goal.
Jags were awarded a hotly disputed penalty in the last minute Dollan being adjudged to have handled a Gracie free kick inside the box.
Got to be honest & say I never saw it, but the officials were 1st class & handled the match very well.
Gracie slotted the penalty underneath Calder to see the Jags into the next round.
Great to see The Gaswork bursting at thseems for a change.
I also won the raffle& with Jags winning, the Albert winning, the Gers won. I might venture over to my wife's side of the bed later, then again mibees naw.

Was a decent cup tie with both teams playing attacking football. Thought the officials overall had a good game but were very poor at the winning goal. Firstly the dugout side lineswoman gave larkhall a freekick that both the bellshill and larkhall fans nearby agreed wasn't a freekick. Then from the freekick a player in the bellshill wall had his arm up protecting his face and blocked it. Despite the fact the player was a good 4 or 5 yards outside the box, the ref somehow gave a penalty, again fans of both teams around me thought it was a bad decision. Ruined what otherwise was a good refereeing performance. Bellshill players lost all discipline at the final whistle and i think a couple of red cards were shown after the game when they confronted the ref.

Was a good game for the neutral, best of luck to both teams for the rest of the season.

I thought the free kick was justified. The Bellshill player must have been in the box as the free kick was only about 5 yds outside the box.
No Larky boys beside me thought it was a bad desision & one actuall claimed for a penalty.

I was directly in line with the edge of that penalty box and the guy was definitely outside the box - I agree the guys arm being up merited it being another free kick but to give a penalty was the wrong decision.

Larky55 hows your team these days, been a few years since i've played them , but over the years you were always a big strong physically team, especially up top when you always had big handy forwards i.e big Hartson to name just one. Looking forward to the game and hopefully our park will be dried out and in better nick than last week, hopefully the Buffs fans will turn out in numbers for the game too!

Wow-wee, the days of the travelling hoards for the juniors are gone. Will be dissapointed if the Jags don't take around 100 though. The old firm are both playing,& the weather will be a factor. I will definately be there. Looking for a bit of Kilwinning Ranger's birthday cake.

Jactonite, there is a good mixture in the team, some big powerful lads, & some smaller quicker types. Hope the weather stays nice & a decent crowd turns up.

The wall was inside the box by about 2 yards so I don't kno'w how you can say it wasn't a penalty. My mate fillmed it and you can clearly see it was pen. The bellshill players and staffs attitude was outrageous especially to the young lineswoman.
