Looking for a list of all junior teams north , west , east region who play on these pitches and if possible when they started using these pitches .

And does anyone know the first team to use these sort of pitches or the old artificial pitches in the junior game .

Side point were Stirling Albion first senior team in Scotland in the 80s to use artificial pitches ?

I know Luton town , QPR , and I think scarborough used them in England and they had a terrible reputation down there obviously nowadays your 3G and 4G are much better .

Think they would be good as they can be used by the public and gives the junior teams more money to improve the club!

Who gives a monkeys who boness sign. They quite simply will not pose any threat to linlithgow this season. We have taken a squad who finished three points adrift and improved it all round. Boness have taken a league winning side and ripped it apart on the back of one mans whims. Top 5 at best for boness this year

BU's unbeaten vs the Rose. 2011/12

Is this the REAL HibeeJibee?

There was a posting http://www.pieandbov...etires-from-pb/ (14th January) with HJ resigning from P&B after nearly 23,000 postings in a 4 and a bit years. Worn out I presume and probably bored to death.Posted Image

I have no first hand experience but I found this on the net:
3rd GENERATION(3G) MAINTENANCE

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Artificial Grass Maintenance offer full range of specialist services for 3rd Generation FIFA and FA Approved

Football Pitches including brushing to collect surface detritus, mechanical decompaction, power brushing for deep cleaning, stiff vertical brush to even out sand and dress brushing plus the spraying of disinfectant algaecide &moss killer. This process generally takes 3-8 Hours depending on pitch condition.

MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME FOR 3G FOOTBALL

• FULLY DECOMPACTING AND AERATING THE SURFACE, REMOVING DETRITUS

• POWER BRUSHING TO REVITALISE PILE AND RELEASE MORE PERSISTENT DEBRIS

• DEEP INJECT ALGAECIDE INTO THE CARPET TO REMOVE DEEP SEATED ALGAE FROM THE CARPET

• SPRAYING SURFACE WITH MMC-PRO TO PREVENT MOSS AND ALGAE BECAUSE MMC-PRO CONTAINS A DISINFECTANT IT ALSO ACTS TO PREVENT AGAINST INFECTION AFTER SPORTING INJURY

• SURFACE FINISHING

Care to expand?.Every season we play Stirling Albion on the 4g at Forthbank, its fantastic. The ball runs smoothly, the bounce is truethere is no burns when you slide tackle. It encourages teams to keep the ball down and play football. How many Junior parks can you say that about.

No such thing as 4G. They must be maintained every week to ensure they remain state of the art.

Hamilton used to have one at New Douglas Park, when in the SFL, prior to SPL promotion.
