Was Cousin actually any good the first time around?

All I remember was him nearly costing them a place in the UEFA Cup final with his daft red card in Florence.

Seem to remember him rag-dolling MacManus about on at least one occasion, but yeah, generally he was a total flop.

Nobody watched the African Nations then?

When you have Andy Little..Salim Kerkar and Mervan as your forward options Daniel Cousin looks like a decent bit of business. Yes we have fallen this far but we have to be realistic.

I caught a bit of it the other night and he was playing. He scored and looked pretty good if you ask me. When I heard he was available on a free I was surprised and wondered if saints should have a word with him!

He'd certainly be a lot better than the dross Rangers had playing up front at the weekend.

He had a questionable attitude the last time he was at Ibrox but still 'Ragdolled' a few defences when he was up for it. TBH it is a no brainer for Rangers IF we can afford the wages
4 MEN HAD A DREAM. TO START A FOOTBALL TEAM,
THEY HAD NO MONEY,NO KITS NOT EVEN A BALL.
THEY STILL CARRIED ON, THE RANGERS WERE BORN,

AFTER 54 TITLES, WE'RE STILL GOING STRONG.

Was he not pretty good last time? I see folk here saying he was a flop but I was under the impression he actually did quite well.

I agree anyway, if it's viable then it's a no brainer.

Had a great game against Celtic where he famously 'ragdolled' McManus and Caldwell...He was sold only days later.

He was obviously a talented player but his attitude stunk..He was like a poor mans Mark Viduka.

As you saw in the African Cup Of Nations he is a big strong forward who has a decent dig on him and is technically pretty decent. With the way finances are at the club we can expect little better.

Willie McKay Cousin's agent said on the radio that Rangers offered £7500 a week to the player then changed their minds and offered £5000, he also said he was talking to Craig Whyte on the phone trying to get the deal done and Whyte had to cut the call short because he said he didn't have any money left in his phone and since then hasn't called him back. Did anybody see Mark Hateley's column, he is saying that Cousin only playing 60 games in the last 4 years is a great thing because he will be fresh Posted Image

Mark Hateley is the biggest idiot in the media in this country, and that takes a lot of doing.

i dont know why ex club mouth pieces like him are allowed to print anything...if mccoist decided to play himself him and goram would be writing about what a masterstroke it was.
anything rangers do they are there ready to slaber over it like when rangers looked at a couple of indian players he wrote a full piece about how great indian football was?!?!

I see McKay is bitching about Whyte. In fact down right sticking the boot in.. http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/16967931

I can see him using Rangers to gain publicity for Cousin and we'll see him at another club. His performances at the ANC have raised his profile and I can other clubs eyeing him.
‎"Member clubs are mindful of a sporting integrity aspect but the commercial benefits outweigh that." - Michael Johnston (Kilmarnock FC Chairman).
"Personally I think we need to keep Rangers in the SPL. I don't care that fans will be upset with that." - Peter Houston (Dundee United Manager).

According to Sky it is a done deal...Direct quotes from Willie McKay who waived his fee to push the deal through. Cousin had far more lucrative deals seemingly but wanted to return to Rangers and work with McCoist.

Deal will be signed at Murray Park this afternoon and he can go straight into the squad for tomorrow

Nope. The SFA confirmed earlier in the week that had been served. He is not in the country and still has a few functions to attend in Gabon but will sign later this afternoon.
