Got a text from a mate to tell me that Ladbrokes are offering 10,000-1 on Celtic to win all 14 remaining league matches.
From a bit of fag-packet maths, I reckon the odds if you were to bet this outwith this special offer for the rest of the season would be around 3,000-1 ... given Ranger's threadbare squad and the ability of other teams to beat them now they're on a roll, do you reckon this is a good bet?

Celtic to win every league match this season...
What would be decent odds?

I'm on Ladbrokes just now and the offer is:
Celtic to win all of their remaining SPL fixtures this season = 25/1
Not quite 10,000/1
Celtic to win all of their remaining SPL fixtures this season = 25/1
Not quite 10,000/1

Your 'fag-packet maths' isn't too great either.
Well it's probably a moot point now anyway, but Betfair offer between 1.3 and 1.9 on Celtic winning - depending on who they are playing and whether they're home or away. If you call that an average of 1.5 for 12 matches, plus two additional Old Firm matches (which usually average around 2.5 although that will be probably be lower now).
(1.6 ^ 12) * 2.5 * 2.5 = 1760
So you're right - my fag-packet maths was a bit shite

aye. Mate has just confirmed that his mate (aye right) got it wrong. That was the odds at the start of the season apparently.
Although surely 25-1 to win 14 matches on the trot is still pretty rubbish odds?

My mate put £4 on them doing this at 2500/1 1 game into their current winning streak but apparently it was 10,000/1 before that 1st game

The odds will now have tumbled a fair bit after last night's result, I'd imagine.

They were 250/1 at the end of last year, near the start of the current winning run they are on.
