When i went to school it was the BBC micro

Mum & Dad could not afford to buy me that, so I ended up with the Acorn Electron for Christmas

aye they had a habit of catching your attention

i think thats what got me into RPG's, im sure i played a few of them on that, basic shite obviously but engrossing at the time
plus there was a tower defence game i played in school and now im a fucking whizz at them

The Electron was a fantastic machine, had one of the best keyboards of the early micros as well. Just a pity there wasn't all that much software developed for it, which ultimately killed it in the age of the twin spectres of Sinclair and Commodore.

Haha, the worst part is on the video it said press space to start. So what did I do press space doh!!

The other one I played for hours, although Im not sure whether that was just for Acorn was the Repton series.

I never, ever had an Electron. I was a Speccy man all the way.

However, back in the day, in John Menzies, they had all the home micros out on display for you to play about with, and I always liked the Electron. The only reason I never got one was the lack of software compared to the Spectrum.
