Sandman lochee could complain but I don't see what good it would do as player has to serve suspension first available competitive match, all that means is sjfa will tell regional secretary's no games to be played until the teams have played their scottish tie. Only way to prevent above scenario !!

You can see why it's pretty dodgy ground though.

What if 2 clubs have important players suspended... they might play a league game or comparatively meaningless local cup-tie on midweek, or on the day of a postponement, to gain an advantage in the cup.

Could even be rumours of clubs ensuring games were off, so they could go and play a back-up for that reason.

Solution would be competition-specific suspensions.

That would certainly close any loophole but tbh I can't really recollect any occasion when the Junior team I follow played a league game if a Scottish tie was continually postponed. I was always under the impression that a team wasn't allowed to play a league game until their Scottish tie was out of the way no matter how long it took. Whether that was an actual rule or an "unwritten" rule I don't know. Maybe its happened in the past , I'd be interested to find out if any club has found themselves in that position. If it's the way I think then it makes the suspended player scenario pretty irrelevent, if not then your point above comes into play.

That, or make suspensions competitions-specific.
