Hart
Johnson
Cahill
Terry
Cole
Parker
Walcott
Gerrard
Barry
Young
Welbeck
I don't know why so many people are putting Carroll ahead of Welbeck from the start. Carroll has been shown to be a far better impact sub. Welbeck is a far better player at playing the lone striker has takes up good positions up front and stretches the defence. Honestly, I would put Rooney into Gerrard's probable role in behind the striker, but Hodgson won't drop captain fantastic.
England's real problem will be with dealing with the strikers that drop off deep. Terry doesn't have the pace to make up the ground if the overlapping midfielders stretch them with their pace and Cahill doesn't have the know IMO. I actually think Lescott should be in there, even if he had that mare for the first QPR goal, he's been rock solid next to Kompany all season. England seem used to having Cahill and Terry at the back and I doubt they will disrupt the partnership.
Roy likes to use a good 4-1-4-1 formation.

Oxlade-Chamberlain would have been in my squad, but I can see him being this year's Joe Cole - a clamour for him to get on the park when they're doing shite leading to him becoming the best player they have without him even getting on the pitch.
I think Adam Johnson will be this years Joe Cole, and he isn't even in the squad. The fact that Downing is so terrible should make sure of this.
The same could be said of Crouch if Carroll doesnt perform. I get a feeling if they don't do well it will be a case of talking about the players that didn't go rather than the ones that did.

I agree with that as well. Though no matter who he didn't select, he'd always have that problem.
It's a good squad overall. Bit light up front and Joe Hart needs to be wrapped up in cotton wool but it's definitely a group of players who can reach a semi final.
