Whilst true, Yogi clearly stated that he wanted his side to "gi it ah go" before the match.
Morton conceded six with your manager claiming you would try to park the bus in a similar fashion to Ayr. Motherwell made a mockery of Moore's tactics and tore his team to shreds.

Motherwell scored from three straight corners. If that was meant to be a tactic then it's no surprise how things ended up.

Rab Douglas, Momo Sylla and Ross Wallace. Hardly big name stars.

Falkirk pumped 8-1. Pleasing.

Strolling the league that season. Even more pleasing .

Not having to play Morton that season. Even more pleasing.

I was at that game, Allan Thompson scored a hattrick that night if I remember(?) The gap between first division and SPL back then was far greater than it is now IMO

A likely story. When Falkirk get pumped they were 'plucky', when Morton lose by a smaller and far less embarrassing score line it's a 'disgrace'.

When the Tun get beaten 5-0 the first half by Motherwell - fucking Motherwell! - it's not a disgrace, it's hilarious.

Are we arguing about who got pumped the worst? There's no excuses to be made for Morton yesterday. Might as well take it on the chin and hope to never see such a debacle again.

No, we're arguing about whether we're meant to 'respect' Falkirk by sitting back and playing defensive. We won't, because Falkirk are an insignificance.

However losing 5-0 like we did is completely respectable. Posted Image

Jeez i'd forgot all about that shame, thanks for reminding me.
Yogi and his awesome tactics again, it worked last week at home v Rangers so it will work away to Motherwell.

It doesn't matter who had the most dignity left after a humping to SPL opposition. What matter'a is ma da' would beat your da' in a fight. Let's draw a line under it and laugh at Rangers instead and look forward to Saturday.

You're the biggest biter on this site.

Keep your delusion up ya fanny, it's as hilarious as your team at the moment.

The last three times Falkirk visited Cappielow have resulted in two draws and a Morton win, so going that we should be confident but after yesterday I am not. :(

I believe Stewart Greacen is available.

Get him signed up to guarantee someone will attack the ball with some conviction, whilst offering leadership, or at least bring him in as a trialist for a month to shore up defence.

Lacking Farid so not confident, have the horrible feeling this could be a home win. I feel the emotional hedge of a bet on Morton coming.

I'd gladly take a point from this game. Without Dods, Faird and of course Higginbotham and with Morton likely looking to make up for their embarrassment yesterday I can't see past them.

It was Ross Wallace that got the hat-trick that night. I still have nightmares about Mark Campbells performance that night :(.

10 full internationals, one world cup winner and a champions league winner in the Celic starting 11 that nite.....

I fancy us to score with/from a corner on Saturday but its gonna be a tough one without Farid and first game without Higgy.

Higgy was a huge chink to our set up, as far as Elvis has stated is that Gibson will fill same position.....Hmmm we will see like with any new player

Stuart Greacen isn't really that good and hes really slow. Thats some major straw clutching if you think he'll suddenly solve all your problems.

McGovern

Duffie Dods/Bennett Wallace Scobbie

Weatherston Murdoch Millar Sibbald

Gibson

White

Still a strong side I guess. I'd prefer Gibson on the wing, but it appears Pressley has other ideas. White's had 10 minutes of football since he joined, so it's his chance to shine with Farid being out. I think that'll be the likely line up, unless Pressley decides to play Weartherston up top with Gibson in behind.

Weatherstons been key against Morton this season, scoring 1 and setting up the other 2 goals. We've only failed to score in 3 games this season, so we'll probably score at least one here. Morton seem to have trouble dealing with set pieces going by what I've read on here, and Millar usually puts a decent ball in, so we might get some luck there. We're not too clever defending them ourselves mind.

I'll go for a 2-2 draw, or 2-1 win for Falkirk.
Falkirk FC Scorers 2011/2012:
Farid El Alagui (28), Kallum Higginbotham (8), Darren Dods (8), Mark Millar (8), Blair Alston (6), Craig Sibbald (4), David Weatherston (4), OWN GOAL (3), Jay Fulton (3), Murray Wallace (2), Rhys Bennett (1), Ally Graham (1), Kieran Duffie (1), Willie Gibson (1), Tam Scobbie (1).

Reckon this will be the team Pressley will go with:

McGovern

Duffie Bennett Wallace Scobbie

Fulton Murdoch Millar Weatherston

Gibson

White

Think we will dominate the midfield, but getting the ball in the back of the net is my main concern. Any kind of Ross County slip up would be a bonus.

We struggle to deal with everything. Pace especially. Weatherston scored a hat-trick at Cappielow last season as well. He'll definitely score again.
