I'm going to this. Hopefully I see a County win. Back to the strongest team please, Adams.

Prediction:

David McGurn to have a blinder.

Ordinarily I would bite your hand off for a point, but we really really really have to start winning games. Simple as. So we have to look to win this one. Great.
Long ball (often colloquially referred to as 'hoofball') is the term used in association football to describe an attempt, often speculative, to distribute the ball a long distance down the field via a cross, without the intention to pass it to the feet of the receiving player.

It is a technique that can be especially effective for a team with either fast or tall strikers. The long ball technique is also a through pass from distance in an effort to get the ball by the defensive line and create a foot race between striker and defender.[1] While often derided as either boring or primitive,[2] it can prove effective where players or weather conditions suit this style; in particular, it is an effective counter-attacking style of play in which some defenders can be caught off-guard.

I'll be heading down to this one, and for a change my good lady will be coming too... So Raith fans be warned, County only ever win 3-0 when she goes to games ! (Probably jinxed that now though)

What's the weather forecast like for the coming week down Fife way? I think I'll be leaving the train booking until the last minute for this one, just in case.

As for the game, I would imagine we'll be back to a more familiar team, other than the weakened one we fielded yesterday. But will Gardyne play ? Personaly given the state of the pitches of late I think we'd be better off playing Morrow anyway.

Both teams need to go for the win I would say, so hopefully will be an entertaining game

I was planning on going to this on the supporters bus, but yesterday's shambles has put me right off. (As well as being skint)

Raith will be difficult to beat, but we should have the quality to take all 3 points. Hopefully Gardyne and Lawson are on better terms with the management before Saturday! Although I can see Adams sticking with the same starting XI that played so well yesterday.

Shocking idea. Posted Image Messing about with the winning formula? Gardyne and Lawson make way for Craig and Corcoran!

It could actually work. Sounds like Corcoran had a great 90 minutes v St Mirren.

Use all the subs please Del.

Prediction County to ultimately win 2 - 1 in a tough encounter.

I wouldn't say that. He made the 2nd penalty with an excellent run, but spent most of the first half on his arse.
Are we safe yet? Championees!!!!

Thought he was a bit hot and cold, seemed to end up slide-tackling himself a lot, and made some poor decisions (shooting instead of playing it across goal). But worked hard, never hid and did have some good moments. I have a real soft spot for him and think if he got more games he'd jump on and we'd see more of the good stuff.

What sort (if any) pitch protection to Raith have ?

Just looking at the forecast, and it's due to be pretty cold Wednesday to Saturday in Kirkcaldy.

We have a decent set of covers and ground staff, unlike Hamilton, we don't f**k about.

Shall be heading through to this one - my first trip there since we were hosed 4-1 before the Scottish Cup final. I'm going to be brave and predict that won't happen this time.

It could be much ado about nothing, but there is plenty of hearsay and conjecture regarding why neither played yesterday. After the game Lawson also posted a cryptic tweet along the lines of 'Oh well that's my decision made'

I'm sure the straw-clutching Dundee fans will be creaming their pants at the prospect of dissent in the County camp.

The tweet you quoted hasn't come up for me, no matter. Hopefully he just means he can choose to do extra training now having not played on the Saturday... Posted Image

I still don't really understand how Twitter works, I somehow must have gained special County player stalking privileges

Aye, I'm not on it myself. I just hear the gossip, google 'twitter' and the players name, then take a deek. So no stalking privileges for me Posted Image

Got some cracking pics of George Adams in the shower though.

AT least 4 going towards Edinburgh before half time, HTH Posted Image

On a serious note I really dont know how to take this game,
will we be rested and fresh after the lay off or will we be jayded and rusty without match practice,
one thing for sure is County is not the team I would hand pick to play after a week off.
Is Counties cup replay this week? If so then I will be hoping for the full extra time and penalties (with County progressing obviously)
so that maybe their players will be not so fresh on Saturday.

Aye, a reasonable conclusion I think. I used to be right up on all my tech advances but Twitter just goes right by me.

Turns out I'm heading to this straight after the Pars game with Rangers. I will be cheering on those Highland savages from the away end Posted Image

Don't worry Rovers fans, you'll still be getting both me and my brother's cash!

Lawson said something along the lines of "Well that's my mind made up!". I don't remember the exact quote and he has deleted it from his time-line.

Watch out for the County fans. I heard they are prone to biting people.

Rovers forward line will click in this march and we'll score three. We'll definetly concede though, so hopefully three is enough for a win.

Life is good.
