I know it is late but it is burning me up . the AWR Mangewment Team dont have clue they have brought in total nughties ,so far the way we are going we will be fighting relegation , i know for a fact that 90 per cent of the players dont understand and the direction we are heading we have taken off or not played our top socreres in the last 3 games in charge, i'am being daft but should we change now or take a chance ? well stiesh what do you think?

As was said back in Feb we would be fighting relagation and now my prophecy is coming true, we will have all the top sides to play in the run in, and there are teams below us with games in hand, i once more put all this at the managers door, he just has not got a clue, if the standard of player he has brought in is anything to go by, them if we do survive, we will go down next year.as he will not be able to bring anyone in. so to answer my own question we should have made the change back in Feb, the AWR committee need to take a good look at the situation.

Ye seem to have some sort of personal vandetta against the management. They have inherited a team and he is tryin to put his own stamp on it. We have been creating plenty of chances, just not puttin them away. That's not a problem with management. I reckon at this point in the season ye should use your energy for backing them rather than slating them. VERY big games coming up.

Is it still Garroch and McGuire that's in charge at Winton?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but was Garroch not appointed as manager at Ardrossan in early to mid January ? I remember him still being at Glenafton when we played them on 7th January, I think that was his last game there.

If that is the case, for anybody to be calling for the manager to be sacked less than a month after being appointed, is just bang out of order in my opinion.

Yep, that's true.

As for the manager situation, Steish is spot on. He needs to be given a chance. Derek Frye didn't exactly have the best of starts at Winton either. Hopefully we've done enough to stay up so lets give John a whole season at the helm and see what happens then.

Do u not think that maybe the start u had exceed all expectation.
Super First is cut throat, staying up in ur first season and avoiding the drop would be a great achievement!

We cerainly did exceed all expectations, we were top of the league with 4 wins out of 4 at the start but it's gone ever so slightly Pete Tong since. Our atrocious home form has been our downfall this season, 30 points we have in the league and only 10 of them were won at Winton Park. Our home draw with Hurlford last night was the first point we've won at home since the beginning of January.

Thank God we only have 2 home games left, against Rutherglen and Kilsyth. Rutherglen are fighting for their lives and I can see them coming to us and winning (hope I'm wrong though). Kilsyth I'm not sure, we played them at WP in the WOS a couple of months ago and we were on top all game. Leading 2-0 up until the last 5 minutes then we stupidly let them back in with 2 bad goals. Won on penalties though. Play like that again, we can win that one.

Kilsyth (again), Shotts and Renfrew away still to come as well. Our away form speaks for itself, we've only lost away from home twice this season against Hurlford and Glenafton. The Hurlford game as in atrocious conditions, it should never have gone ahead. Fair play to Hurlford though, the game was a lottery and Hurlford edged it. The Glenafton game was a travesty, we were all over them all game but just couldn't score. Glens scored with their only clear chance of the game. All 3 away games are certainly winnable, Renfrew just edged it a few weeks ago at WP, the only goal of the game was a bad defensive mistake. Shotts beat us 7-0 at home but we had 2 men sent off in the first 15 minutes of that game so it was inevitable, they have loads of games still to play so we may well catch them playing on fumes.

It's going to be uncomfortably tight, but I think we'll just do enough to stay up.

Your teams good enough to stay up, and you will have a big say in the final placings in the league.

Losing tiny and Derek would of been massive blows to winton . I think and hope they stay up and progress as they seem as though they are a club on the up.

The scary thing is, all 5 remaining games are very loseable. We're very much watching the teams down below us. Our promotion challenge is well and truly over, I think we can safely say that

From what ive heard winton were very unlucky to draw last night, I think John Garroch will do well for you soon as I here he has the boys behind him now

Also you could win these games;going by last weeks game v Glens and from what i have heard about the games v Girvan and Hurlford chances were missed in abundance is that the managers fault? he can only put the team on the park he thinks will do the job;the performances seem to be pretty decent obviously the results are the most important part of the game and maybe that is where the frustation amongst the support is being directed at the manager because the performance does not reflect the result.Who knows what would have happened if the previous manager had stuck around but stick by big John i am sure he will get things right;if not he is more than welcome back at Loch Park

I had the pleasure of a chat with John Garroch tonight as he spied on Glencairn ahead of our game next week. He seems a nice big chap, and he told me that he has had a lot of selection problems due to injuries and players unavailable. He wished us well, except for a week on Saturday. :D

Not the greatest of starts for Garroch but if he can keep us in the league this season he will be doing well. Hopefully then put his stamp on HIS team in the summer.

Are supporters allowed into this meeting on Monday? I would like to be there to argue johns case as I don't think he is gettin a fair crack of the whip from some people. Fair enough some results have not went for us but who's to say out earlier results were not by luck and that under Derek we would not have won more. I think we will be safe this season and fully expect John to have his ideas in place for next season and if we're still not performing, then it's a major problem.

Wintonfan seems to have a vandetta against John Garroch and sittin on forums talking rubbish rather than getting to the games to support the team isn't helping!John has inherited that team and added 1 or 2 players that were available cheap/free to help put his mark on the team and in the summer if given the chance and doin what he is good at building a team using the best that he has just now and adding more quality and competition for places u will see the winton climb the table!Derek frye won't be back he has took the club as far as he could and took on a bigger challenge so those dreaming of that happening I personally think are unrealistic and should get behind the guys in charge!only my opinion and I rarely write but after weeks of reading this I thought I had to say my thoughts!

Have to agree with you. Although I don't really like the guy, I think some of the stick John has been getting is shocking.

most of the teams in the league are at a similar level and its inevitable that ur team will go on a bad run at some point. This is when players and management need the fans to get behind them not on their backs.

Winton prob need 3 or 4 points to ensure they're safe. if you get them and stay up it'll be a great achievement in your first year. So why don't you get behind the team rather than blaming your manager for losing a game you weren't even at.

Ah wish there was a "like" button for they last 2 comments. To call for the resignation of a new manager 3 months in is just daft. From a committee member too. Alan, just get behind him the noo, your rants on this aren't Goin to change anything.
