If it happens, they should be treated to non violent bullying for at least 2 weeks.
In the time it took you to read this, John Hewitt had already scored the Scottish Cup's fastest goal.

a more recent dog died, as they say in the obits, unexpectedly. i went to work that day and moped around. i also went to work the days after my both my faternal grandparents died in a manner the obits would euphemistically call peacefully and moped about but i got some decent paid time off around the funerals.
if any of the immediate family or close mates kick the bucket there's no chance i'd go to work. even a mate's close family member is a full day off to do the appropiate amount of post funeral scooping.
Oh dear, was it a black labrador?

I don't get the whole pet funeral business though. Some folk spend thousands on burying their pets. Saying that, I once saw a graveyard in the grounds of Dalziel Park (behind Fir Park in Motherwell) with the manor owners buried next to his pet dogs, headstones and all. Still can't make my mind up whether that's sad or just nice.

My Dad had to scrape it off the road with a shovel.
I wanted to go to my Dad's funeral that day.

At that short notice, surely you already had the knowledge in your head for the exam before your gran died? Or did you absorb her power in a Highlander-esque way and cruise the exam as a result?

When the family dog died at 15 years old, i was rather upset. I never grew up with any brothers or sisters n no matter what kind of mood yer in the dog was always there for a we bit of comfort. Was only working part time at the time so i remember not going into work that night.
Every situation is different, if you were the boss though you would be upset about this skyline?
Upset about what? Someone not turning in because their dog died? No, not upset. Not even surprised. I wouldn't be best chuffed and depending who they were and what their other record was I probably wouldn't pay them for it though.
Fairly amused that being the second person on the thread to say "no" got me two red dots and a specific response though whilst the OP and the first "no" got ignored.

Not to mock the death of the guys gran, but that would have been fucking tremendous. Especially if he'd stod up in the middle of the exam and bellowed "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!" threw some paper in the air, then sat down again and got on with it.

I don't give a f'k. Why would I give a f'k? My reputation points are well into red since LezHurts and btb red dot every other post I make. An extra one matters not a jot. Like I said, I found it amusing.
