Another massive match for Alloa and hopefully we can build on our gap at the top. Getting an early train in and hopefully have a good day and 3 points.

With the cold bite, any chance the game could be off? That would be shit

By several accounts Alloa were lucky to escape Balmoor with all three points. Queen's have the quality to get the win here if that luck finally runs out.

Tough game no doubt, and one that we have to win if we're to have any chance of challenging for the title.

Alloa gave us a doing at Hampden earlier in the season, but QP have come a long way since then and we'd have comprehensively won at The Recs in December if our forwards had packed their shooting boots.

We didn't do ourselves justice at Balmoor last week and the players will be determined to keep our excellent home form going so I'm confident we can get a result. Stopping May will be half the battle though and we'll need Ricky Little to perform better than he did last week when faced with McAllister.

Mon the Queen's!

Despite the game not being at Balmoor of course

Real toughie this one. We got severely pumped at Hampden but we're much improved since then and should have got something at the Recs. Hoping last week's second half peformance was a blip.

Folk saying this is last chance for us in terms of the championship. I can't see us catching Alloa win or lose on Saturday as 14 points is a huge gap and that would take a ridiculous run of form and results for both teams. Best just to concentrate on trying to seal a play off spot and see what happens

Queens is always a good day out and with May and Cawley playing on that big wide park i cant see past another Alloa win with Super Stevie May on the Score sheet again :D

Do the turn the undersoil heating on for Queens? I think were expecting snow over the weekend Posted Image

Too late for an edit?...Probably...

Seriously though, Alloa look like champions in the making but we've not really done ourselves justice against them this season.

As for a call off, more likely that the game will be postponed for 'dangerous approaches'...

QP were going strong before last weeks slip up at PH but Alloa are on fire at the moment and are now clearly the team to beat in the 3rd division. With pace to burn up front in the form of 3rd division POTY in waiting , Stevie May I think they can win this one reasonably comfortably.

Looking forward to this one :) Hampden away is always good!

Alloa are on fire atm and hopefully we can keep the run going, Ryan McCord will be available again but will PH put him back in? Personally i would take out holmes and put McCord in. As others have said it will be good to see Cawley and May let loose on the wide pitch at Hampden.

Would be good to see a good away support and I'm hoping that the rugby wont keep people away.

QP 1-3 Alloa, same as last time

0-4 away win with a May hat trick.

GK: Bain

RB: Doyle
CB: Harding
CB: Gordon
LB: McKinnon

RM: McCord
CM: Masterton
CM: Young
LM: Docherty

ST: Cawley
ST: May

Got to be that team for me with Ryan McCord coming back in for Holmes who i felt had a poor 2nd half on tuesday night drifted out the game badly hopefully PH can keep the boys fired up and keep us going for 90 minutes rather than just 45 minutes of the last 2 games.

Tough game I think- close at The Recs last time round, and Queens Park have been in decent form of late. Looking forward to visiting the Queens Park Social Club as always.

All signs point to a belter of a game. Alloa absolutely flying, and us, bar our last 45 minutes, in great form too.

The last meeting at Hampden we were well spanked, but the game at the Recs was more like us and we should have got something. Hopefully our strikers are more clinical this time.

3-2 QP

I thought QP played well that day and should have had a point at least, but I think to suggest you would have won "comprehensively" had you taken your chances is stretching it. I recall a couple of fine saves by Parry and I felt Queens were lucky not to have been reduced to 10 men early in the second half.

Quite surprised by some of those predictions given that QP played well against us last time and have been on a great run. I think taking a point here would be a good result for Alloa.

I would have thought thats pretty obvious...

I'm sure Paul Hartley can phone one of his thousands of contacts- he's bound to have loads of quality players on standby. Quick text to the chairman and the warchest will be cracked open. :)

Due to some excellent recent results Alloa have a decent cushion at the top- a point away to one of the challengers would be absolutely fine. I refuse to get carried away, seeing as 99% of our games this season have been tough.

Do these 1st scorer odds look about right?

Queens Park Alloa
Longworth 4/1 May 3/1
Smith 6/1 Cawley 5/1
Watt 10/1 Ryan McCord 8/1
Daly 11/1 Docherty 14/1
McBride 12/1 Gordon 14/1
Burns 14/1 Holmes 25/1
Anderson 25/1 Jamie Doyle 40/1

McBride at 12s is tempting. Takes our free kicks and penalties.

Anderson could be 250/1 given that he's never scored for us!

Will the game be on tomorrow with the sub zero temperatures? Do they use under soil heating for QP games?

A wee bit of rain here, but I don't think that it was below freezing overnight. But take your mum's advice and wear a vest; I know I am.
