just in from work and the grass in the garden is nice and soft. reckon theres a good chance of the games in this area (kilwinning) going ahead as its usually 1 or 2 degrees colder at my house than down at the main road. will be heavy going but at least it'll be a game..........desperately needin a game

Just been out in the garden and the ground is passing "the wooden spoon handle test" !!!
I reckon there is a good chance of the Bo'ness v Kelty game being on. Pitch inspection at 11 and as long as it's the predicted sleet as opposed to snow I am fairly confident of being in the covered enclosure munching a pie later today. 2pm KO......a sure sign summer is around the corner !!!

Weather here in Killie nice and mild, grass in the garden softish,so as it's usually milder in Irvine i'm pretty hopeful that the Meadow game will be on.

Shire do you know if a proper pitch inspection has taken place or are they just taking the chance that the match ref deems the park playable later on? Dont think id be too happy travelling through from Dunipace if its the latter and game ends up off, especially with Ashfield pitch frozen not 2 mins along the road??

Just been checking a couple of weather websites and the indications for the Bo'ness area is -1c from now to midnight but 3am its +1c and by 9am we are up to +3 where it will stick most of the day rising to +4 around 3pm. I know its very sad but i have just been out sticking wooden spoon handles into the garden to test the frost and the icy crust is really thin with soft ground underneath I predict that a Newtown park inspection if held at 11am will see the game being ON.

Come on the BU's

A few people mocked the wooden spoon handle test..........oh ye have little faith......Boness United game ON.................as confidently predicted. GIRFUY.
