Someone from East Fife.

Was speaking to a SPL scout from (Hearts) who told me his club have asked him to watch cert players from East Fife u19s and East Fife U17s with a few to getting them on board.

So EF must have a few talented young players.

As for best young player in Div 2 is must be Jon Robertson of Cowdenbeath.

This Tam O,brien and Kyle Miller also.Apologise for any youngsters missed but haven,t seen the young team recently. Our record of young players graduating to the first team is second to none.

agreed.Reason i picked those two is because they are in their teens.Thomas has come on a ton the last couple of years and is only 20 years old.Heard Liam Callaghan is some player, but he hasent been at his best when ive seen him.

Bit biased here but I think Falkingham isn't just the best young player in the league but possibly the best player in the league

The more I see of Nathan Blockley, the more I think he'll be the next youngster to outgrow us. Nothing flashy, but a very solid, very good wee player.

Yep, can't see him being anything spectacular (hopefully I'm wrong) but in a couple of years maybe a top end 1st div player.

Then again, I thought bobby donnelly would play In the spl.

And he probably would have if he hadn't discovered there was more money to be had by winning those extreme eating competitions.

Bobby Donnelly should be a lesson to all young pro's out there stuffing their faces with Domino's.

Wee red headed fella? Agree with that. Stand out when I've seen him. Simon Marriott of Rovers is probably worth a wee mention in here.

Blockley impressed me at Gayfield earlier in the season.

Who is Simon Marriott? Has he played against us?

Young guy we signed from Celtic Boys. Has played central defence but has moved into central midfield. Played in the one nil game. came on as a sub late on in the latest thumping.

He's scored 2 in 2 games so far since signing for us. Looks promising but way to early to state he was going to go onto bigger and better things. His outfield and holding play looks like they need work but his finishing looks good.

As for young players at Forfar there are plenty just not ones that are signed for us (McCallum, Shaunessy and Low will all be decent players, Hilson? I think his chance may have gone at Utd) that may be changing a little though, first with the signing of Coyne and also as we signed a young lad from our U19's this week and are promised he will feature in the first team squad next season. The first sign that the U19's might start paying off in the future? I hope so. Of course coming in the same week we resign Barry Sellars for the trillionth time perhaps I am guilty of being over optimistic!
