I'm from Dingwall but lived in Edinburgh since Sep '98. Folk in Edinburgh know "chored", but I only hear it rarely, either from neds or folk pretending to be neds. Whereas up north its a pretty normal term. So folk down here dont say it enough for me, or look at me confused when i drop it into normal conversation. But then, i'm pretty fucking ghetto, westside of Dingwall yo!

Salt'n'sauce is proper Edinburgh, but up north you don't get it.

Off Topic, I was up in Montrose and appalled that they tried to charge me for a sachet of brown sauce. I declined and I'm glad I did as it was HP now that's not Chippy sauce, would have spoiled both my suppers with that!
