Ben Gallop, who is a total imbecile by the way, has posted a wee update. God knows how I managed to stumble upon it:

I wonder what kind of answer (if any) this person's comment would get;

My problem with the BBC is that I'm forever finding myself using their services less and less. It looks like the BBC website (including sports) is another service the BBC provides that I can find better elsewhere.

I very rarely watch any TV on the BBC channels and I would be happy not watching anything on the BBC at all in the future as I can watch similar and better programmes on other channels.

With all other services I subscribe to I can walk away and stop being charged if I want to terminate my custom. But no, not with the BBC. I need to pay the BBC even if I no longer want to use their services. If I want to stop paying the BBC for services I have lost interest in and no longer want to use I can be fined up to £1000. And if I don't pay that fine I can be imprisoned by the court. What a free commerical world we leave in.

The BBC website was one of the last remaining BBC services I valued and wanted to use. But once again the BBC have decided to spend their unique funding in unique ways. And there's nothing I can do about it other than post feedback to the BBC via a blog that will mean nothing to those who have already made decisions that they refuse to go back on.

Money well spent all around.

There seems to be a few more responses centred around the "waste of taxpayers' money" argument, as well as a few more specific comments on other problems with the site.

Personally, I think it looks far too cluttered, and if I'm looking for any news I'll either look on Sky Sports or on here. Which brings me to another issue I have with the site: Latest news is one thing, but if I'm trying to find out the latest scores, it was a lot easier when they were automatically refreshed, instead of how it is now. I also find the fact that the site still lists every league under the latest scores section, even if there's only a handful of, say, Scottish Cup replays on that day.

I'd list more problems, but they seem to have been covered earlier in the thread.

I wish they'd just listen to the feedback and change it back! Posted Image

If only for their own sakes as I'm finding myself using other sites now when I only used to use BBC.

The live vidiprinter is a pile of shite. Was one of my favourite features on the site on matchdays.
We are Eintracht from Germany. We hate the Old Firm and we hate LIVI.

I've got more used to it - but I don't use it as much as I did before. Live score listings, fixture/result lists, and the damned column of news headlines down the middle, are all retrograde steps. Very, very disappointing.

The worst thing for me is going into the live scores drop down menu and you get every league and competition regardless of whether there is a game in that competition on that day/night. Makes it much more difficult to find the scores you are looking for. Also as an example you may not know if there is an FA Cup replay that night and have to click on it to check if there is one, in the past it would only show up if there was one.

Am I being thick or have they removed the section for the European leagues, e.g. Serie A and La Liga?? I can't find it under "Leagues and Competitions".
Have fun. I know I will.

Ah. You can find it under "Tables". How gloriously inconsistent.
Have fun. I know I will.

Exactly this. The live scores aspect in general needs a bit of work - I hate having to footer about with drop down menus at all. It'd be far better if you could simply see at a glance a collated list of all matches happening at that moment.

At first I really struggled to find radio commentaries, but I've got the hang of that one now. Obviously there are going to be a few teething problems/voices of malcontent when ANYTHING is changed - but there are a couple of areas in this that have really gone backwards.

Yeah I'm the same and always use the Sky Sports website now for live scores/tables.

The football section of the website was pretty perfect the way it was so I've no idea why they decided to change it.

That was one of the main gripes for me so I'm glad they've sorted that.
