What do people think of this? I'm going to struggle to adapt to these changes. Not pleased. Really wish they gave us the option to use the old layout.

It's a bit busy for my liking.
They did need to try something to make it easier to navigate. A lot of stuff you can't find without going through a long winded route. For example, there's no easy way to go into Scotland's WC Qualifier's fixture list. Go on, I dare you.

Same as anything. First look at change on things you are used to tends to look bad. We'll soon get used to it though. Too yellow for me on first impression though!

I was happy the way it was. Its change for the sake of it for me. They did something similar with the news site a while back, I got used to it but still prefer the way it was before.

I don't think it would be as bad if it wasn't for the new "colour scheme". By colour scheme, I mean "YEELLLLLOW!" that they seem to have used. The top bar looks pretty unprofessional, and the layout itself is way too busy.
Should really be given the option to keep the old layout - and given some of the absolute zoomers that use and comment on BBC Sport columns, I imagine there will be uproar

By integrating the text into the picture at the top of the page it makes it a bugger to read and makes the photo look odd.

I'm sure I'll come around to it in a month or so. Early impressions though, not good. In fact, it's horrible. Far too busy, far too garish.

I think the homepage looks great but I don't like how the text indent the images from the left on articles...

Don't like change, but it's easier to get around and clearer to read.

have they changed it for spackers?
i remember back at school there was a boy with some learning difficulty who used to get exam papers that were always yellow and three times the size of a normal one. that's what the page reminds me off.

I like it, although it's a little too busy. Quite like the wee additions they've added to the full league table, giving you a little bit more info on each team.
Here's a 'guide' for it:

There's far too much on it, and the important parts of the website stand out a lot less than they did in the previous layout. It seems they've just thought to themselves lets throw everything thats needed onto the homepage so it's easy for people to find, but in a way that makes it much harder to find as no one wants to search through a load of guff to find the stuff they want.
Poor effort, and to think someone got paid to do that.
edit to add: i mean look at the bit on the homepage that has the Premiership top scorers. It has three names, just thrown in the middle of nowhere to fill up any free space. It's so amateurish.

It's too bright, and most importantly far too busy, IMO. The frontpage is very long and has all manner of information, crammed in all manner of formats, all over the place. But I suppose I'll get used to it.

One small improvement is that each of the cup competitions in Scotland now has its own 'page', rather than all being lumped under "Scottish Cups".
Generally, I prefer the 'horizontal' navigation links rather than the old vertical list on the left hand side.
