Riccarton Bluebell played in Ayrshire - they were Kilmarnock and District Junior League champions in 1910, 1911 and 1920. Cant find anything on them post 1921.

Interesting, I didn't know there was ever junior football in that area. I remember reading when Inverness City came into the juniors that there had previously been junior clubs in the town (in the 1930's I think), but were there any other junior clubs in other parts of the Highlands?

All clubs in the Campbeltown & District League played at Kintyre Park in Campbeltown, from about 1930 onwards – including Drumlemble, although the village is about 3 miles west of the town. Don't have any notes of pre-war colours, but in 1949 they wore black and white stripes, and in 1959 white shirt and black shorts.

According to the 1951-52 Evening Citizen Football Handbook, Riccarton Bluebell played at Stranhead Park, "one mile from Kilmarnock railway station", and wore royal blue.

Lots more info on Argyll Junior football can be found HERE

And some for the short-lived Inverness Junior League of the 1950s.

And thanks 'Scrooge' for Drumleble's colours, I'll add these to the Club Directory
