Yeah, I think he would do well to walk now and leave Whyte to destroy things on his own and as you say he would still have a bit of pride. Don't think too many fans would hold it against him.

After yesterday I wouldn't.
All we needed to see was another striker being brought in.
Was not expecting a big name or millions being spent but surely the likes of Sandaza could have been bought for a few hundred thousand and someone of that ilk would still have scored for us for fun.
We will still finish second but with any decent striker we would sill have had a chance at first.

I would imagine it is either Ally resigning or Whyte and Ally doing the right thing and telling Rangers Fans exactly what the f**k is going on.

What press will be in attendance since Whyte is steadily banning and gagging them? I presume the Record is now banned, and the BBC for saying something he didn't like- who is left?

Oh, and heard Daniel Cousin is playing in the African Cup of Nations without a club, could he save Rangers' season?

Truth is, Rangers can't afford Sandanza. You are being outfought by Hibs, for crying out loud.

He's handling the situation with a remarkable amount of dignity as it is. I've got a lot of time for Ally McCoist, I have to say.

Really nice guy who looks to have been given an even more difficult task in trying to raise the morale of players coaches and fans after the window has shut and the negative press about the club.....and players watching the window on sky sports news were probably miffed with Jelavic being sold and no help being brought into the club.
One thing about Ally, he was a battler when a player and benched by Souness....time will tell if he can stomach much more....if he stays he needs the support to back 100%.
"That's their problem, although i cannot say I'm not enjoying what's happening to them". (Ally McCoist 1994).......................... "When Celtic faced closure in 1994. My feelings then were of disbelief and concern for my mates who were Celtic fans." - (Ally McCoist 2012)

Not heard any of those rumours myself....regardless the club is in Ally's blood, I just can't see him walking away....I don't believe he could walk away.
A nicer guy you will not meet....I actually feel sorry for him the way he has been hung out to dry with no replacement for Jelavic.....i know that might not sit well with some Celtic fans reading this....all I would say is he makes time when you meet him regardless of who you support to have a laugh and bit of craic....very similar in that regard to Tommy Burns.

What pride? He just spent last week lying through his teeth to fan about jelavic having an illness etc. that fat dud will keep his mouth shut and keep collecting an even fatter pay check and do whatever Swiss tony tells him to do.

I don't mind Ally McCoist being honest.
He is in a difficult position and has to answer to the fans who won't be happy this morning as Whyte certainly isn't helping to aleviate the pressure on him.
Long gone is cheeky chappie Ally though and to be fair considering the mire Rangers are currently in the job was probably too big for a novice manager. Hard enough having to learn your trade at a big club and the pressure that comes with being Rangers or Celtic manager nevermind having to deal with this also.
He looked a broken man last night. Whyte fucked him with selling Jelavic to Everton at the last minute then not sanctioning new transfers. If he accepted the West Ham offer when it came in McCoist would have had at least opportunity to try get a replacement in.
Morale will be low, players will be a tad disillusioned and their form of late hasn't been great anyway but this will be a major test of his mettle.
From a Celtic fans view it is way too early to start celebrating titles and anything else. We still have to win our own games what has happened at Rangers doesn't guarantee us the league all it does it make Rangers ability to retain it that little bit more difficult.
Will he leave? I for one would be hugely surprised if he does. It would be an admission of defeat and would send out a clear message of just how fucked Rangers are.
