That said, I find it hard to imagine a deal won't be struck somehow but that's mainly because it's almost impossible to think of Rangers actually going bust. It will certainly require some mighty juggling but I suspect like the poster above that the most likely scenario is admin asap after the tax decision and out of it, in the nick of time, before next season starts.
When is the tax decision anyway, is there a firm date on it?

Exit strategy = English league membership.
The idea that a reformed Rangers would want to start playing in English tier 9 (or worse), and that the various authorities involves here, there, and in Switzerland would let them do so from Glasgow, is 100% non-starter!!

It's either that Whyte trying to asset-strip them to pay Ranjur's tax bill. We can expect to hear soon that their next 50-years' STs have been mortgaged.
Still "Banstead Rangers" has a nice ring to it.

Wasn't he sent off in his last 3 games the first time he was at Ibrox ?
Rangers have held talks with Daniel Cousin regarding the possibility of bringing the veteran striker back to Ibrox on a free transfer.
Cousin
impressed with Rangers
during the 2007/08 season before leaving for Hull City
and he could be a short-term answer to manager Ally McCoist's
striking problems.McCoist saw Nikica Jelavic
leave for Everton
before the close of the transfer window and the SPL champions were unable to bring in a replacement.A move for Cousin is now in the pipeline after the Gabon international impressed at the Africa Cup of Nations during the co-hosts' run to the quarter-finals.
Positive
He has most recently been playing in his homeland for FC Sapins and reports claim Rangers are waiting for confirmation that Cousin is eligible to sign for the club on a free transfer.
The 35-year-old's agent Willie McKay
has confirmed there have been discussions and that Cousin is interested in a return to Ibrox.McKay told the Daily Record: "Daniel had talks with Ally McCoist today and everything looks very positive.
"He has a few offers on the table because of his recent form with Gabon but he is keen on the idea of returning to Rangers.
"The last time I took him there they won the title so who's to say it won't happen again?"

players don't get the same protection in scotland that they do in england and i don't think many clubs will have been trusting rangers to pay in installments recently so i don't think 'football debts' will be much of an issue.

I also think that some of the clubs from the Rangers heartlands who exhibit a fanbase demographic similar to Rangers could really benefit from this as well (Falkirk, Airdrie, Motherwell, Morton, St Mirren, Clyde, Kilmarnock etc).
I am sure the supporters of these clubs will be delighted to have a few extra knuckle dragger's and bigots in their support. The old firm act as a perfect magnet for these fans and allow the rest of us to enjoy the game.

Surely if Rangers go tits-up the club who stand to benefit most from increased attendances of their own are Linfield... and welcome to them you are too.

will Celtic slowly die?
such negative arguments, look at yourselves first. What are your clubs going to do now there is more space to grow?
Apologies for the late reply, been working, our club have had the foresight to make sure some of our better players were sent to Dross C*unty in order that they are promoted and the near capacity crowds we lose from Rangers will be replaced by the Heilan derby matches. Any more questions?
