Regarding American Pie, I found the second film to be the best.

The third one has its moments but pushed far too much stifler in our face. Yes he is probably the best character but he is in pretty much every scene.

Hope they dont do the same with Reunion

I think that's probably because they had ran out of ideas and hoped the character would drag the film out the mire.

It's the only decent thing about Watchmen. Absolute garbage.

Everything Rorschach does in the film is great, likewise with the Comedian. Every scene. And the soundtrack is fantastic. It's really well shot too. I think it's a terrific film.

And that was not a good start, losing the Doctor at this stage of the game is pretty catastrophic, the Mafia will be creaming themselves after that kill. Particularly when the Doctor is as skilful a player as Forehead is.

Despite his limited screen time, I think that Brian Cox's Hannibal Lecter in Manhunter is better than Anthony Hopkins' Hannibal Lecter in Silence Of The Lambs. I think they're both excellent as him, but Cox wins me over because his character is more believable.

On an another point, Britain & Ireland has produced better actors than the USA has. Controversial indeed :P

I wouldn't even call that a controversial view; pretty much everyone I know who's seen Manhunter believes Cox is superior to Hopkins,

Why certainly not? The likes of Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Michael Cain etc are all very much in demand and fantastic actors.

The Rorschach character and performance is good but I just didn't enjoy the rest of the film. Its too long and it didn't do it for me. The bit where the blue guy who can supposedly build whole worlds and can do anything gets duped into thinking he gave someone cancer is just nonsense. He can go to different planets etc yet he can't work out something like that?

He can see the future and whatnot and can travel to other places etc but he struggles with human emotion as he goes through it. Because he's like a god and starts getting less and less concerned with the Earth. He's also struggling to get his reading into the future, he thinks it's the fallout from a nuclear bomb exploding in the future, I assume it's to do with the ending that does happen(don't want to spoil it) and that makes it difficult to see into the future.

I'm not sure what's hard to get though, quite a few people he worked with got cancer, he's not a telepath so he can't read minds. He's struggling to use his seeing into the future power so can't look into the future to see if it's true or not. Nothing else is useful.

Brian Cox is the fucking man look at his body of work. He is a much better lector he is just a man in a cell without any of the theatrics. You only see him two or three times in the whole film. Infact manhunter is the best of any of the films

It just seems daft that someone who can do virtually anything would fall for something like that. Also hard to believe he would really give that much of a f**k either.

Well his power are that he can manipulate atoms, which basically means that he can move things with his mind(telekinesis) and he can move things through time. He sees past, present and future simultaneously, which means that he can see into the past and future. He can do other things connected to those above, like making himself bigger or making things disappear but that's down to manipulating atoms.

His whole story is that he's becoming less and less of Jon Osterman as the story progresses. Since he became Dr Manhattan, he's been used more and more as a superhero, but he doesn't see himself as a god or a superhero or anything like that. He starts becoming very apathetic towards humankind, struggling to please Laurie/Silk Spectre and showing less and less interest in her. He fucks off to Mars during it because he's feeling less and less interested in Earth, Humankind and their constant shit.

That's why he can't tell that it's going to happen. As for not giving a shit well...

I got a copy of Apocalypse Now and Midnight Express. Gonna watch one of them tomorrow night, perhaps one of those will take place next to Alien as a film before 1980 that I enjoy :P

Apologies for detracting from the topic once again but I found this video. I like some of the ideas put forward:

You don't like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest? Or Rocky? It's a Wonderful Life? To Kill a Mockingbird?

That, and you'd think the smartest man in the world would have a password that's pretty hard to guess. c**t didn't even put numbers in the middle or anything.
