Looking forward to this game on saturday. Could really put us in the mix if we get a result ;)

Vics were first team to beat the Buffs this season and am hoping that we are the first team to beat them at Abbey Park as their home record has been exceptional.

Buffs are doing well in the both the Scottish & the West, so a big challenge come 2:00 on saturday.:D

Don't see anything but a buffs win on Saturday. Think we could get lucky and see a lot of games on this weekend

Very important from a Buffs point of view we keep the pressure on the top 2 and win this game on saturday but the wee vics have been doing very well so we are well aware of the threat they pose.

They will come and attack so it should be a good open game of Football.

Cant really see anything but a buffs win either , thought in the first game it was a poor performance but buffs still battered them and still should have won when 2-2 yes vics are on a good run but the home form is as you say exceptional , just hope it beats the weather should be a cracker

Hope so George, the ADL has thrown up some good games this season and as I stated at the off on this topic, anything bar a loss for the Vics, keeps us in the mix and makes the competition interesting to the end.

George, correct me if I'm wrong here but the earlier defeat at Vics Park, was that the first time you had suffered a loss against us since you came into junior management? I cant remember if we ever beat you home or away when you were at Darvel.

Buffs win for me as well, but it certainly wont be easy. If the Winton game is off and this one survives, I may go to this one

I agree the ADL is very strong this season,a lot of people like to take a pop at the league for some reason!!!!
As for never suffering a defeat ato the vics,we lost at darvel in the league cup 1 season.

I think people have a go at the Ayshire district because the top 2 go straight into the super first but apart from 3 or 4 decent sides the rest of the league wouldnt get out of the central 2nd division

This season there is 6 or 7 teams all with a chance off going up,this makes for a better league all round, and the teams struggling this season have all brought in new managers off late, that i think will do very good jobs.

Just seen next weeks fixture; Troon (away) They could have and possibly should have beat us earlier this season now they will be desperate to prove their promotion favourites tag.:o

Well next 2 games could make or break our season so it makes this saturday all the more crucial not to lose

unless theres a thaw then this games no chance of going ahead the pitch is brick hard and thats with the sun on it most of the day.but if it does go ahead i think it will be close but we should just edge it by a single goal..

Tombo

Maybe we should have beaten Vics in the last game, had we scored the penalty at 1-0 up who knows. Facts are we didnt and I thought Vics were excellent that day in every area of the park, particularly fighting hard for everything and the draw was well and truly earned at the end up. If our game goes ahead against Kilbirnie on Saturday, its possible that the game vs vics is a make or break game for both teams so it will make for an entertaining 90 minutes. Much like the game Vics v Buffs this week which will be highly competitive and entertaining for all who go along, certainly one I will be going to if ours is off!

As for Ayrshire v Central, I think ourselves, Kilwinning and Maybole in particular have shown in the cups that the Ayrshire v Central debate is pointless. They say theres only a few good teams, I would say every game we have played in the league this season has been competitive and I expect, as George does, that the teams with new managers are only going to improve. The facts are that every week, there are highly competitive games being played somewhere in the ADL which is what paying punters want to see.

Cheers

Troon FC there are only a few good sides in the ADL. You have yourselves, Kilwinning, Maybole and possibly Annbank who are good sides then everyone else are pretty poor and some teams I would go as far to say they are horrendous such as darvel, Craigmark and ardeer.

I only compare the central and ayrshire because 2 go straight up to the super first. In my opinion there are 2 or 3 from the central second who could win the ADL and almost every team in the central first could win the ADL. That is just my opinion from all the times I have seen Ayrshire and central teams and I watch a lot of juniors

the most recent game kilwinning had against st ants who are a 1st central team then theres no way they would win or get promoted from the adl?

Having played with Greenock in the Central 2nd Division a few years ago, who are going really well in the 1st Division and having strolled through the game against the Ants in the West I cannot agree with your statement, yes the bottom couple of teams in our league have been pretty poor this season but the top 6 in our league are all of a good standard and really know how to knuckle down and battle as well as play a bit. I think you'd find none of the teams in the Central 1st Division would have an easy ride against our top 6 and think they would struggle for promotion with the exception of maybe Perthshire who appear to be on fire!! We have just beaten Glenafton in the Scottish and it was no fluke with our players not looking out of depth yet we are sitting 3rd or 4th in our league so thats shows the standard the teams round about us are reaching. It would be interesting to see a run down of the scores in games between teams from both leagues!

Got to admit looking forward to this game and hopefully it will be on, no doubt the Vics will be right up for it and determined to take maximum points of us and take away our unbeaten home record so should be a cracker!!

They might not win the league but they would be right in with a good shout of going up. I'm not saying that every team in the central first is better than all the teams in the ADL but everytime in the central 1st would be 1 of the best teams in the ADL.

I fancy Kilwinning to win the league because they for me are a super first team. Maybole and Troon will fight it out for second place. Will be interesting

Don't want anyone thinking I'm completely slating the ADL I just think some of the teams are of a poor quality

JR, I just said the debate was pointless. In the cups this year the ADL have more than held their own with central opposition and the facts are the ADL is very competitive. In my opinion it shows that it's not as simple as saying there are 3/4 good teams in Ayrshire and the rest are rubbish. Just not the case as the league is proving. Ardeer drew with Kello the other week just to highlight the point

yes half the teams in the adl are poor just as fabi says in the previous post but i think because the central has 2 leagues and we only have one some people think because theres more teams then you have more quality teams than the top 6 in ayrshire where i think its equal we have 6 poorer teams but the central have 15 or 16 teams every bit as poor as our bottom 6 in ayrshire.

I appreciate that 2 possibly 3 teams in the ADL are better than pretty much every team in the central leagues excluding 1 or 2 but 2 say that the whole central second and the bottom half of the central first is as bad as the bottom 6 in the ADL is a bit daft. Bottom of the central second is Royal Albert who would beat the bottom 4 of the ADL and teams like Maryhill, lesmahagow and forth would put 6 or 7 by the bottom teams in the ADL.

Saturday's game between forth and Maybole will be a good indicator. I expect a draw or a narrow Maybole win
