I genuinely had sympathy for the older guy with the Rangers scarf on at the end just because he has probably seen many highs and lows at that club and now its seems like he will be going through the lowest of the low.

Ah well, f**k Rangers!

As a celtic fan ive always had a wee chuckle at rangers expense lately but i genuinely would not want to see them go to the wall.....honestly !!!!!
Id miss the rivalry etc too much.
Regarding the £4m repairs to ibrox though
being in the building trade myself i know a lot of asbestos was used in the 1970's for insulation, ceiling tiles, pipe lagging etc
more than one person has said the copland, govan & broomloan stands have a lot of this & thats why there is a big repair bill . its too remove all this
bear in mind though it isnt dangerous in its present state
only when the stuff breaks, splits etc & the particles become airborn is it a problem
so yous are all safe for now.....!!!!

If you take his responses at face value, then you get a bit of an insight into what's going on. Rangers have big debts, run at a defecit, and spending their way out of trouble isn't an option. Whyte has put up some of his own money, e.g. in clearing some debt upon purchasing the club, but he wants it to start washing its own face. (His plan is presumably Fergus McCann style... sort things out, then sell it for profit in X years... or he just enjoys the challenge).

It might be lies-n-smokescreens, of course, but it's interesting to read his perspective.

I'd say the football business plans of Bill Hiddleston, Brooks Mileson, Robert "Thames Valley Royals" Maxwell, Harry Redknapp and even TartanArmani playing Football Manager 2012 had more honesty, integrity and sustainability to them than that jumped up spiv Whyte's does or ever will. The man will die the way he lived - falling off the back of a lorry.

Doubt it, unless they where planning on moving the entire club south of the border.
