Im pretty sure it is, i suppse it's down to how the money is managed though.

There's suggestion he has already done this upfront and that's how he paid Lloyd's.

I've not been to an Airdrie game, or even a senior park, for over three years and where have I defended Rangers. I was explaining the process to your daft pal.

The last two games I was at did involve Rangers.....Kilsyth and Cambuslang, against Arthurlie and East Craigie.

Graham speirs made a good point on radio earlier that scotland would never allow a rangers or celtic to cease to exist, for all we can have a chhckle at their current woes, imagine no old firm rivalry etc? My wife asked the other day if rangers folded who could i direct all my venom and hatred at ??????
It took me almost half a second before i could think of a reply........

LOL...this from the meltdown thread on follow, follow...

Re: Daily Record Tomorrow This is an all out assault by timmy and their friends in the mhedia. It wouldnt suprise me one bit if this is being orchestrated by Liewell and his favourite general mcgobilldygook.

Interesting

What's interesting about this being the third year of the plan? Or is it just that you once again haven't got an answer to follow up your other nonsense posts. Murray brought this option out to season ticket holders at preferential rates if the offer was taken up. If not the ST holder could still pay season on season.

So the jist of all this is that Whyte has mortgaged the next three years season ticket income to sums quoted from £20 million to £40 million. In that respect he will offer a three year ST plan again at preferential percentage reductions from the full cost of the ticket. So in effect he has mortgaged non-assured income. Can't really see any financial institution agreeing to such a plan considering the financial penalties that are potentially facing the club should the HMRC case go against the club. I would imagine if this was his plan then ST sales for next season would be very low.

Buying season tickets before the outcome of the FFT will be a gamble most fans wont take the risk, there will be some though tbh they will need more convincing before large numbers commit so CW has a job on his hands to say the least.

Follow Follow is hilarious. The most paranoid, bigoted forum I've ever been on, it would be a darn shame if Salmond's anti sectarian crusade saw the place closed down.

A 3 year option gives you some guaranteed income, which is a sensible approach for financial stability. But what Whyte seems to have done is borrowed on the basis of future season tickets, although it may also be that the ticket sales have been used as a guarantee, thus giving the ticket sales comapny the rights effectively. would be ok if it was to give an operating capital, but failure to make the CL and Europa Laegaue has probably diminished the ability to maintain the capital level and the cash is running out.

Reading the article on the Record website I'm struck by two things -

1 - By selling future season ticket money Rangers actually end up owing the taxman more money   Craig Whyte seems to have the business sense of a Yak.
2 - People still believe in Whyte despite all of the pish he has spouted, including banning a "journo" for reporting the truth. Why are there not mass demonstrations outside demanding his head on a plate?

Not looking for any dramatics.

Time for the Rangers fans to wake up, this guy is no good for Rangers.

How much has he actually put in of his own money for such a big club?

Ye know what for all weve had a good laugh at them & will continue to for a while, even as a celtic fan i would not want to see rangers fold. For all many say the rivalry is unhealthy at times celtic will always need rangers & vice versa for box office reasons. We'd both survive if one went under but itd lose a bit of the passion & wouldnt be the same.
Between the previous big-head who borrowed them into oblivion and the shyster who took over from him they have between destroyed the club & if they do go under its those 2 solely responsible
