i can confirm that we are intending to rejoin the ammy set up in division C , the new huts should be put into place over the next few months, new strips bought and just a complete fresh start, and we look forward welcoming back all the other teams in the league.

thye playing side wont be an issue, a lot of boys are comin back to play and get the gowks back in the thick of it, management side of things is a possible problem it is a big comittment n a thankless job, but if needed it will be a team effort to make it work

Im sure you will get started again cause a know the players are all willing to come back, but believe me you will need to have a manager in place as the team effort thing just dont work. though am sure one of the players will take the job if needed. Think this will hurt other teams in the area as there aint alot of players going about the now. still all the best in your hunt for a manager and for getting a squad together.

As a former Gordon player who helped them scrape to promotion from the C to B division in 2008 it is great to hear that the team will be back up and running next season. Looking forward to heading down next season to check out the new facilities. Good luck with the manager hunt.

You not fancy a shot at the management, or even a spot on the commitee 11? am sure they will be looking for as many heads as possible.

Ammokyd

A bit like Smout with other commitments now. I just hope they can get a manager in place, get the facilities sorted and more importantly get a competative team together in time for next season.

Big man who are the players who have said they would come back! What's changed for them now it was only a year ago that they all jumped ship or retired and that's what got you into this mess??

You obviously weren't around when they won the B league with ease on their way to division A in 2009/10 season.

I have heard after the unfortunate injury to Craig Livingstone and sacrifice of having to retire he has been appointed the new manager for the forthcoming season. If he has the same impact as manager as he did as a player on the football pitch I am sure Gordon will soon progress through the leagues again. Good luck Livi.

Yep good luck to Craig.

He should be able to attract a few good names to the squad, and hopefully he can get support from non playing members of the village.

I heard he was jacking in playing, a real shame, brilliant player. I wish him all the best for the future in whatever he does

Nah the manager sent me out on loan at the end of the 2008/09 season and I never made it back!

Is this common practise in the amatuer game now, loaning out players?

Things have changed since my day, when if you wernt gettin a game at a club, and you thought you should be, you just moved on after a week or two "grace"period.

Would be good if you could loan players but due to all the registration rules in the amateurs can't happen can't even play a trialist which would be handy from time to time.
