good point we at kilwinning put a buffet on after every match at a local pub . After every home tie weve had in the scottish this year then the oppostion team has came back and have in return. But what we find is the other teams in the district league seem to ignore this , weve had 7 home games in the league and only one team has came to the pub!

No just showing your team up for the classless louts they are.

A point which you have just proved.

Comments like yours is why your team is hated.

You have no class whatsoever.

I notice you haven't been back on since it was shown you were talking bollocks.

I'm just surprised anyone went back after the antics of your full back.

I have heard the complaints about Medda not staying for after match hospitality and I know it's the done thing in the Scottish but is there really a requirement when the travelling distance is roughly an hour? Most folk will be going for a meal anyway and won't need a snack just before it. We were at Aberdeen Sunnybank in the first round and everybody attended the buffet and was grateful for it as we had a long trip ahead. As the earlier poster suggested would it not be a better idea to ask before going to a lot of trouble. I'm not on the Committee. just an observation.

Beith's hospitality is second to none. Always a warm welcome and good home baking. So I am more than happy to hang around (just in case there is the odd steak pie on offer)!

It's the 'done thing' for all games and when a club doesn't do it, they get noticed.

As my colleague Stephen says you have been misinformed - most of the committee did attend the hospitality admittedly very few players did but we can't force them to attend so an apology would be welcomed for the character assisination

A lot of truth in what Meadows says here; if a club are not using a teambus to bring players and officials to an away match then invariably quite a few will decide not to bother with after match hospitality and get away as quickly as possible, they may well have other things planned for the evening. Meadow did not have a teambus on the occasion that has been mentioned so this may very well have been the case. Presumably their players come from quite a wide area and it does not make sense for a player to drive from Glasgow to Irvine, get on a bus, come to Kilsyth via Glasgow, then do the same thing after the match adding at least three or four hours to his time away from home.
Normally after most of our home games pies and Sandwiches are served in the club hut within the ground but it can get very crowded if a lot of the players & officials stay on. For that reason, and also because we get some sponsorship from local pubs and clubs we usually take visitors back to one of two local venues after Scottish cup games, it gives them some return on their support for the club.
I'm not sure if Arthurlie had a teambus a couple of weeks back, but I suspect not, If there had been then surely the players using it would have come to the Social club we were using on that occasion, I hardly think they would have sat sulking in the bus outside.
My own opinion on this matter is that experience has shown us that when hospitality is offered away from the ground then there is usually a poor take-up if the visiting club does not have a teambus. The visiting club should be contacted prior to the game, asked if they are bringing a bus, and if not just offer the normal hospitality at the club hut within the ground where most of the visiting team do actually come to it. If it gets crowded, so be it, never actually heard anyone complain about it.

It's not beyond a club to demand their players attend such a thing for half an hour after the game. It should be part of the matchday set up IMO

I don't claim to be a bigshot.

I leave that to your club.

Are most of your comments for a joke or just trolling as I see very little actual comment about Junior football in any of your posts.

Have to be honest and say that just about every team's players come in for the grub at Petershill. Sometimes players have other things to do and depending where they live they prefer just to get on their way to beat the traffic from Ibrox or Parkhead, other players if they have had a bad day or the result has gone against them don't like to hang about, don't have a problem with it tbh.

see you answerd this comment but didnt see you comment on my other one about your club playing behind closed doors

to answer your question no most of my comments are not jokes . i thought forums were meant for fans to join in the threads
but obiously not . i am not the only person on P&B who stand up for there club when someone like you call there fans THUGS
the thread was not even about Meadow but again people like you who are jealous of Meadows success like to bring
the team or the fans into the discussion but dont like it when you get a negative response about your own club

I did not call your fans thugs but called your players louts.

I also joined in a thread and told the truth that your players and manager only turn up afterwards when you win unlike my team who show manners and always turn up.

I am very happy with my club and am in no way jealous of your bought success and know what we won was achieved with sheer hard work and not overly high paid wages.

Most of your posts from what I see shows your jealousy of the really big club in Junior football Talbot.
