After the Scottish cup tie between kilsyth rangers and Arthurlie on the 21st jan,as is the norm,they were invited back to a local club in Kilsyth for soup,sandwiches etc; after the match,and none of the ignorant gits botherd to turn up,after the hardworking comittee and there wives went to a lot of time an effort to put a great spread on ! Let me say Arthurlie won the match fair and square,an sure there was a bit of a fracas an lie got a man red-carded,but surely when the final whistle goes,we shake hands n act like adults,game over,congratulate or commiserate n move on an enjoy a pint n a bite to eat,sorry Arthurlie but it was deameaning of a big club like u !

I wish I'd known. I was there and could have put a dent in the buffet.

I can't imagine the circumstances under which I would miss a buffet. I'll probably get some steak pie tipped in to my box at the funeral.

good point we at kilwinning put a buffet on after every match at a local pub . After every home tie weve had in the scottish this year then the oppostion team has came back and have in return.But what we find is the other teams in the district league seem to ignore this , weve had 7 home games in the league and only one team has came to the pub!

That's bad enough mate but our food is served in the clubhouse that they are walking past to get out the ground!!

I used to enjoy the hospitality side when involved in the Lok committee, but it was always easier to be up for it when it was something close by, ideally at the ground. As soon as it meant waiting around for the players to get changed, then a trip on the coach elsewhere, the end of the day always seemed to drag a bit.
Do Kilsyth no longer have use of the wee club inside the ground?

Best idea would be to ask the club if they will be staying on after the match, Would make things a whole lot easier

Kilsyth Ranger;
I don't mind reading genuine opinions on here, but I think you need to sort out the facts before posting...
After the tie; the vast majority of the committee returned to the buffet, along with the management team.
Admittedly, only a handful of the players returned with us, but realistically; there is little the club can do about that...
Whilst the full party didn't return; the aftermatch hospitality wasn't snubbed - as you suggest IMO.
