This match was put off by the match referee after the pitch had apparently been passed fit at 11am.
i arrived (as a neutral) at Bellsdale at 1pm to see what appeared to be the Petershill bus with palyers and supporters heading home.
The weather had not deteriorated in the 2 hour period between inspections. However the pitch was bone hard all over at 1pm and it beats me how it was ever passed fit in the first place.
The travel no doubt cost Petershill the best part of £400 for a journey which could easily be avoided with some common sense by the officials.

Cost us £180 for each bus, the club can claim a refund for theirs but the supporters club will lose their money. The game was called off at about 12.35. Beith thought it was playable, we felt it wasn't, but our opinion doesn't matter as Mr Dallas had already decided it was off before we arrived.

I saw the pitch about half-ten and while the lads were still working away on it, mainly in the goal mouths, to try to get it playable it looked OK from my viewpoint.
Bit strange that a club with a dodgy plastic pitch complain about a non-plastic pitch being "too hard", though ?
Beith seemed to be doing the best they could to get the game on for you so maybe modern refs & players are just wimps.

If you've ever walked on our pitch you would know that it's not hard. There's more give in it than you will find on a lot of grass parks from May to September in the rare event we have a good summer. Bouncy and springy, yes, but not hard.

It was a total joke that this game was off.

As usual Dallas was on a power trip and waltzes into the distance with his fee.

Personally think we are owed an apology by the cretin Jordan not that he'll know what that means.

Can't see any reason why Peasy wanted it off but they seemed determined to want it off.

The park was hard but was taking a stud and was playable.

It was off when we got there! He had already made his mind up, so what are we supposed to do? Get down on our knees and beg him to change his mind?

Did your player have to slag our park and all the people that had worked hard to get the game on?

Let's just say you weren't exactly upset the game was off.

Last week we arrived fairly early at Beith and the guys were out on the pitch working hard on it , they deserve great credit as it took a bit of a battering the previous week against us .

Btw the woman in the food hut could sell sand to the Arabs !

Not hard to see why she's our joint treasurer!!

Thanks for the credit but it appears not to be good enough for Petershill.

As was stated the game was already off and Dallas was nowhere to be seen. Apart from chasing the ref down the road to get him back there was nothing anyone could do. As for Ryan Jordan apologising the big guy working on the park was equally abusive to him. For the record if the pitch was playable I'm sure Peasy players would have happily have played on it. There was a bit of give in the surface but you could se the frost in the ground. The game was rightly called off.

That Ryan Jordan's too big to be shouting abuse at.

So you don't think odious Ryan has a case to answer.

He was the one belittiling decent guys who had worked on the park.

I don't really like your souless stadium but would you would be rightly angry if I was saying it as loud as I could to commitee members.

Only Dallas and Petershill thought it was not playable an equally qualified ref thought it was fine.

The park was easily playable but for some reason pampered players only want to play on perfect pitches.

As far as am concerned the sooner Dallas is sent up to the SPL the better as he is a lazy individual who likes to collect money without doing anything to earn it.

So does that by deduction mean only Beith thought it was playable. Big Ryan voiced his opinion that the pitch was unplayable and ended up in an argument with a guy who had no doubt spent a lot of time working on the park.

No the other ref wasn't from Beith.

By voicing his opinion what he did was call our park a fucking dump.

An insult to everybody who has put their heart and soul into it.

Poor Ryan trouble just seems to follow him, never his fault.

The thing is Jordan is the club captain , surely to god he should be conducting himself better than this before a game and not coming out with this sort of stuff.

Must admit i was shocked when i 1st heard at 11am that the game was on
Am about a mile away(as the crow flies) and the ground was solid
Was speaking to a well known beith man who stays a 5 iron away from bellsdale and he said that the beith lads were breaking the goalmouths up with pinchbars to soften the ground
Fair play for the attempts an that but (if true) when your doing that then there is obviously a problem with the surface

The thing is Dallas has previous for this, he appears to be on some power trip and is only being fast tracked because of who his dad is and lok how shit he was.

There maybe were problems but it was problems we had overcame.

Dallas just loves strutting about full oh his own importance.

I think Jordan owes Clydebank an apology after his comments on Facebook about the Clydebank team.

Gordonnnns, you say ''However the pitch was bone hard all over at 1pm and it beats me how it was ever passed fit in the first place.'' Which part of the park did you actually walk on then?

Fan of the juniors, you say ''Was speaking to a well known beith man who stays a 5 iron away from bellsdale and he said that the beith lads were breaking the goalmouths up with pinchbars to soften the ground''

For the record, Bellsdale was NEVER OFFICIALLY declared playable at 11am and at no time was anyone'' breaking the goalmouths up with pinchbars to soften the ground''. I, along with several others was at the park ''forking'' the goalmouths. Maybe you should speak to your ''well known beith man'' and show him where the local opticians is.

He must have been mistaken
But why forking the ground?
Normally only see that done if there is a bit of water on the park?
Not dissing any of you just repeating what i was informed and the reasons why i was surprised at the game having any chance of being on at all
As i said fair play for even trying as i know that at 2.30pm the vale was still solid underfoot

full of compliments was he

I wont hide the fact that I am not a big fan of the guy, in fact i think the boy McCabe holds the defence together IMO, but Ryan Jordan is a classless tit who thinks he is some billy big shot, and is too good to be playing junior fitba. He would start a fight in an empty house, and was giving it large with all the badge kissing wtc when peasy deservedly beat us at Holm Park, but he cant take getting it tight back, as I took great pleasure in doing after the bankies 3-2 win up there last week

Had a run in with him when he was at bellshill as well

So who did declare it playable then? Or was the match ref the first ref to look at the park?

Nothing like that RRG - just a few verbals. he made as if he was going to kick the ball straight in at us at full time after we had beaten bellshill 2-0. None of us even flinched and I shouted to him "go for it ya big fanny, you would probably miss anyway"

He then gave us the Ryan Jordan death stare as he walked into the changing rooms while we just laughed at him :D
