Strong rumour that an EOS 1st division team had a meeting with a member of the committee off lochend to merge the 2 clubs together and try and develope seafield into an EOS facility similar to Spartans.
anyone know if this is true?

heard this a while back

Lochend have such a strong team, Most of them have played EoS or Junior and easy still could,
Paul Parkin, ex hearts & Mussleburgh playing for them,
such a strong squad throughout.

would probaley match alot of the prem teams

2 eos sides & 1 jnr club not too far from home. Lochend are seemingly outraged at the byest treatment dished out to them from the authorities in the mickey mouse amateur divisions. Never heard anything about the seafield rumour though, as far as I was aware the switch was supposed to be away from the club.

The Edinburgh Amateur FA are a complete and utter joke!!! Bunch of crooked b*****ds that run them. Bias is an understatement.

A further meeting will be held this friday, but the main stipulation is that EOS manager remains in situ after the merger!
Exciting times ahead for Lochend

Have lochend not got a reputation for being thugs? Or is that nonsense?
Anyone have a squad list for them?

Same could be said about Gretna!!
Lochend are one of the best ams teams in the lothians, yip they have a couple of players who you would say play close to the edge!! But they are very good players!.
The team/club as a whole are fantasticaly run and would put some Eos clubs to shame in that dept.
They are well managed by Bobby lothian and the young lad jamie mcrindle is worth his weight in gold due to the fact he never stops working behind the scenes for the club.
The home pitch at seafield is in tip top condition and because Gary Amos is on it daily keeping it up to scratch!

So is the suggestion they'd move to play down at Seafield?

Anyone got pictures of the facility, I was there a while back but I've long forgotten how it's laid-out.

Played against lochend ams at the start of preseason they had a very good footballing side think alot have played eos with the likes of Lothian before but had it been a competitive game they would of ended up with about 7 or 8 men on the park especially with eos refs these days every tackle turned into a 10 man ruck.

Lochend also have a brilliant sunday team and again would put some EOS teams to shame in terms of organisation etc, Scott Reid does a power off work for that particular part of the club and his attention to detail is 2nd to none..

Is it true that this wont be the first time leith have merged with another club as for Lochend again is it not true that the ex east of scotland and Juniors just want to play with their pals and though they maybe good players dont have the disapline to play in these leagues that is why they play amature level ???

not sure what an EoS side would get out of teaming up with lochend, surley lochend would benefit more than the EoS side, bucket of trouble.
