Agreed, whilst I can see they are desperate to get rid of Tevez I doubt they'd be that desperate to get Andy Carroll in return. A return to Newcastle for Ba is more likely (but still unlikely).

Well according to Sky Sports, Manchester City have failed in a swap deal that would involved Tevez and Carroll.

I read on The Guardian website that it was the other way round, Liverpool failed. Either way I can't even begin to describe how wrong this deal would be for both clubs.
