Think that was due to the ground, disappointing all the same. As for Midnight Chase, cannot see it having the power to beat the top two in the market which is Long Run and Kauto Star, but Midnight Chase may prove me wrong.

16/1 is a decent EW price tho. Seems value there

Are Kauto or Long Run having another outing before the Festival?

I think Long Run might run in the Denman Chase at Newbury on 11th of February. Kauto will go straight to the festival.

Out for the season with a tendon injury.

Saw Hurricane Fly win the Irish Champion Hurdle today. Was really impressive considering it was his first run of the season. Hard to see him getting beat at the festival.

Is it Zaidpour he is going up against in the Champion Hurdle?

Edit: iv just checked and it's not. Binocular is tempting at 8/1 to run him close

Tony McCoy says Binocular is the best horse he has ever ridden, 8/1 does indeed look good
And somewhere in the distance, the gambler he broke even !!

Getting a bus down on the Friday. I hope Kauto wins but I think Long Run will just edge it.

I actually got told to back Midnight Chase for the Gold Cup when it was 50/1 but didn,t botherPosted Image. Got it at 20&16/1,Just keep putting £1 e/w every 2 or 3 days so far my potential winnings are just over £200.

Nice one, Are you down for the week? Just the Friday for me. Before hand I will likely be drinking in Prestbury, about 10 min walk to racecourse. Will be going by minibus, know all the backroads so we avoid the carnage on the roads that week.

Never thought about it until you mentioned it but yeah. The performance at Naas was excellent and there are plenty of routes that Martin could have chosen for Bog Warrior.

I must say, Binocular takes my fancy for the Champion Hurdle. Odds seem pretty generous too.

I'm a big fan of Kauto Star, but after last year, wasn't sure if I'd be having a bet on him again. Who are his main rivals for the Gold Cup this year?

My girlfriend's aunt runs a stable in Suffolk, she buys and sells horses but it's mainly a riding school, I go down there quite a bit and often get taken along to the country bumpkin events where cider above £1 a pint is sinned upon.

This weekend I was at a 50th birthday party for a relation of my girlfriends and being horse people, there were plenty of connections and suppliers there. I had a good chat with a bloke called Steve who has a share in a fair few horses through various syndicates and is running another newcomer in the spring. He is very good friends with a certain Alan King, and although not pioneering information, I was given another MASSIVE pointer towards Kumbeshwar in whichever race they do actually confirm him for. It's no new-news that Alan King is set for a £60k bonus if his horse wins in any race at Cheltenham and connections are crystal clear that they have gone all out in focusing Kumbeshhwar on first-placing at Cheltenham. He's into 11's from 14's in the Grand Annual but it's not yet confirmed which race he will run in. The odds will shorten drastically when it's confirmed but I had a poke each way as its good info.
