'Twas the night before King Cup First Round day, and it's to get blimming cold.
All should be good on the all-weather surfaces at Netherdale and Ainslie Park - but how's the frost threat looking at other matches this weekend?

Heard they were putting covers on the Stirling pitch at 4.30pm.
Can't confirm if "job done" before dark. Should be ok.

Fernieside looked good earlier, had a wee drive past. Should be fine for a 2pm kick off.

Just saw the forecast for subzero temperatures tonight...
Unless the whole pitch is protected, would revise my early belief the game is a defo starter.

Any updates on frosty pitches this morning? Any pitch inspections organized?

Very hard frost down here and I would imagine not many matches will be on, how is it in Edinburgh? I'm going up anyway and if Saughton is unplayable looks like it will be my first visit to Ainslie Park a bit earlier than planned.

You'll be going to Ainslie Park I'm afraid the Lothian v Gretna game is OFF.

Cheers and I was looking forward to those stovies as well
With today's match being a cup game, will it mean it will get played next Saturday? Or will LHV's match with Eyemouth take priority?
