Jackie Stewart is going down in my estimation sadly. Full of stories because he was his pal that gave him a shed load of money a season.
Anyway, to be fair Fred Goodwin wasn't exactly universally popular in the banking world and stood on a few toes so no surprise people went after him when it all went wrong.

I take it Goodwin had to sign some sort of document or other to keep his mouth firmly shut in order to pick up wedge? If not he'd surely be talking about everything and naming and shaming others by now? He certainly didn't act alone. This goes straight to the heart of the last government too. As well as others in the banking system.

Well according to that article in the Scotsman, Stewart states he could have spoken to the press or wrote a book. Even so, public opinion is so against him what is the point? He could come out cure all forms of cancer and people still wouldn't like him.

Maybe. Who knows if there's some sort of gagging order that if he breaches it then he doesn't hang on to his pension, it wouldn't be unprecedented. I'm quite sure he could take down a lot of people with him and cause a lot of bother. I would if I was him.
He could come back into my good books by lobbing some of his pension at the football club who play practically in the same scheme he was born into.

I just want to live in a society where everyone is at least relatively equal. It is unacceptable when you see people more wealth than they could possibly need and use when there is people struggling to balance the books on a monthly basis, when there is people living in terrible poverty and even some people living on the streets.
I this too m uch to ask?

What money? I thought you weren't keen on work?
There's never been a society like that and there never will be.

So the money they have invented (which is kinda true) out of thin air, must be the same money you have borrowed. So if you're pissed that they have invented it, its a bit hypocritical to borrow it. You cant have it both ways. If you dont want to pay interest, dont borrow money.

Yes.
It was a rhetorical question. It is possible and is has happened. We can acheive it if we belive. We seriously need to ask what society we want to live in, not for personal gain, but so all humans can live happily together. We can't keep on with the old, outdated systems, wee have to change. Not a change in economics or whatever but a complete revolution of values.

That would be great, but unfortunately people are not all the same. They all bring different things and different skills to the table and we all value those things in different ways. There will always be a pecking order as a result. You can't change nature.
