Mentioned in another thread, who thinks this would be a good idea?
Jon Connolly has offered to pick a team from the west if it ever happened.

Think it would be a great idea, hope those who can make it happen take note of the interest
Would surely be a lot of interest from the fans, would be great bragging rights for the winners
Combined with that, would help with team selections for the Scottish manager, win win IMO
Sure somewhere like Broadwood which is fairly central could be hired out for a couple of hours

In the East Region we only have the following leagues..
East super league
East premier league
East central league
East south league
East north league
Thats all we have in the juniors from this area

This is a great idea, west super league v east super league, west super first v east premier, west central first/ayrshire v east central etc etc. It would give the manager a chance to assess a lot of players, i would certainly attend.

i think this idea should be given serious thought. when i represented the west against the north it was on a sunday and was a good day out plus a good crowd as a player its also a big boost getting selected

I wonder if someone would be willing to try and set this up through the SJFA as a charitable event.
West Super could play East Super at say Pollok
West lower leagues could play East lower leagues at say Linlithgow.
or even have both games on the same day at the same location, £5 to get in - all proceeds to charity. Surely the east and west could make it work?

Would agree JC
Not sure how easy it would be to arrange, would probably need insurances etc,
But the demand for a game(s) of this nature is definetly there
You should certainly put forward a proposal to the powers that be to see if its feasible

I personally would like to see a Scottish equivalent of the FA's Inter-League Trophy. You could have a knock-out tournament with 8 entrants: 3 Senior non-leagues, 3 Junior regions, Scottish Amateurs, maybe Scottish Universities.

great shout it would boost the interest in our game also imo. a one off match every season with each season switching between the west and east pitches surely there is someone on here who can make this happen

i think we could make this work theres more good points than bad points. punters would get to see players from another region that they wouldnt normally have the chance to do and the bragging rights too lol but imo these games would pull big crowds and possibly sponsors to our level
