Had we have been able I reckon we could have made the final (Scottish Cup)! Posted Image

City played their socks off against WW in that final, I was there, great match. They'd have bottled it against us, mind Posted Image.

Nah it's been good (in a way) that we've not dominated everything (for one reason or another).

Whilst I don't want to see us lose any games I'd still like to see it tighter at the top.

Look who we've lost over the last 3 seasons & look who we've brought in, then look at our league position?

Spartans are a great EoS team but only because of the vision of the Management & the backing of the Chairman & the Committee, to make that vision come true.

Sam Lynch and Mickey have won a lot of silverware in their time certainly but I'd like to big up Tam "What a bam" Steven and Shaun "I like Referees" Steven for this season's efforts- While they're not everyone's cup of tea, Tynecastle looked dead and buried at one stage and they've managed to haul them out of the muck rather successfully.

Of course the most successful manager is anyone who manages to last more than a season working for Sir Peter.....! :P

Outside the premier i would say the lad who took over from laurie at coldstream must be a good shout as he has them challenging at the top now and i would imagine he would have no budget at all and a far smaller catchment area for players as every other team?

If the management is THAT good, why has no SFL Club come in for them ?

Genuine question.

most players in the EOSL/Juniors are professional in that they get paid to play. Perhaps you meant to say "FULL TIME professional" as compared to semi-professional.

Yon Arsene Wenger didn't have much of a footballing career and he's done no bad for himself, compared to say, John Barnes.....

have some English clubs not appointed physios.

Fairly sure adkins at southampton was scunthorpe physio or the tranmere manager as well ,mcdermott ? Reading ?

Obviously not sfl but can be done ;)

My opinion is you could manage and coach for 20 years at EOS or Junior level but have less chance of a career I'n SFL management than somebody who has just retired from playing at a higher level and has a name which is recognised with supporters from his playing days.

Adkins played for Tranmere years ago while McDermott played for Arsenal and Cardiff to name but a few.

There are ex-physio's in charge at Tranmere and Hereford.
Two ex-SFL manager's that never played at that level was Allan Maitland and Dave Baikie.

S'pose you'd need to ask them, but like some of our players maybe their day jobs at the time paid more than the clubs could pay?

I hear what you're saying Grim, but most SFL players and managers are part-time too , with day jobs.
