QP been pretty good since new year but not had much luck with them in recent years score?. I think we'll win by the odd goal

We are definately better than we were but will need to be at our best to win. We need to pick up full points if we are going to climb the league & on one of our good days see no reason why we cant.

Difficult game but there'll never be a better time to bury this hoodoo we have with Peterhead, with the form that we are on.

I assumed the the thread was talking about Peterhead.

It's been a long time since we've had anything approaching a winning run.

If Peterhead are to get anywhere this season we need to start taking points off the top four. Should be a decent game for a change.

I've never seen us win at Peterhead, and I think the last time we did so was over 10 years ago, but with the way we've been playing recently we've got to be looking to win this one. We've burst a few "hoodoos" this season (winning at Stranraer; scoring 6 for the first time in 33 years) and I'm confident we can do so again on Saturday.

Mon the Queen's!

Looking forward to this one more than usual; I'm really enjoying watching us play. We seem to have got into a good rhythm, much as we did in the second half of last year.

Had a look at the weather forecast and it says that the winds will be "light". That, of course, would be a first for the Bloo Toon! Depends whether that means "light" as the rest of the world would interpret it , or "light" for Peterheid.............which is still FLAMIN' BALTIC!

If it's not the usual end-to-end wind tunnel, I fancy us to win.

After having to suffer the west coast monsoon & hurricane season all in one at Broadwood last week it will be good to get back to the relative calm of Balmoor this week. There actually is not a breath of wind at the moment but it is very frosty already, hope this does not affect the game. Still not able to come out & predict how we will play but certainly more optimistic as the season goes on.

Broadwood is a whole different ball game! It's a nightmare as far as wind is concerned, and that is why the Clyde fans on here are so full of angst.

Regardless of any hoodoo I can only see QP taking all 3 points.

My prediction.

Just trying to remember if that was the day that set me off on a particular rant about a certain Mr Steven Finnie being the biggest joke of a referee in the game. I remember him giving a late penalty that never was then when Paul Mathers made a great save ordering a retake which i think he would have kept doing until Queens scored. I may be getting mixed up as when even thinking about him posing as a ref rrational thought goes out the windae.

That was a 2-2 game in the season Peterhead got promoted with Gretna (04/05). Controversial finish!

Certainly a game of two halves today Queens well on top in the first 45 but we took over in the 2nd. Was happy to be only one down at the break as we stood off them & they knocked the ball around at will. Jim must have sorted it out at half-time & with Ryan Strachan moving into midfield & the introduction of Dave Ross & Graham Sharp it was a much more positive showing in the 2nd half. Well pleased with the 3 points & hopefully we can keep improving. All in all another pleasent day at windless & sunny Balmoor

Video doesn't want to play for me in Firefox 9.0.1, Windaes vista hp.... :-( I get a still pic of both managers but when I press play nothing happens... I have the latest version of Flash installed (vers 11.1.102.55).

We were the better side in the first half but we didn't create too many clear chances and 1-0 was a fair reflection of the play after 45 minutes. Peterhead by far the better side in the second and in the end they deserved their win.

McInally gambled by making two changes at half time and it worked. Our midfield three of Anderson, McBride and Longworth couldn't find the space that they did before the break and we were over ran in the middle of the park.

Daly's introduction as the lone striker helped us hold the ball a bit better at 2-1 down but the decision to take Ian Watt off soon after seemed to kill our forward momentum. We still managed to hit the post late on but we'd have been doing well to get the point.

The winning run was going to come to a halt at some point but this QP team have shown character already this season and I'm not too concerned about next week's match against Alloa. Nothing has changed, if we play to our capabilities we can win.

For a long time going a goal down was enough to see our heads drop, we have a much better attitude in the team now. We have left a lot to do to challenge for the play-offs but certainly think we are much more capable now of giving teams a game of it than during the first half of the season.

A very fair report on the game from Andyboy. In fact most Peterhead fans thought that Queens Park should been more than 1 goal ahead at half time as they were well on top. They had numerous corners in the first half and looked dangerous at every one of them with a variety of deliveries into the Peterhead penalty area. The second half was a complete contrast once Sharp and especially Davie Ross came on to replace Deasley and the new loan signing Webster. Peterhead then had the better of the chances and much more possession than Queens Park who almost grabbed an equaliser in injury time when the ball came back of the inside of the post. I have to say that Queens Park played some really attractive football and will beat most teams if they keep playing like this for the rest of the season. It was easy to see why they had been on such a good run of form. Hopefully it is now our turn to go on a long unbeaten run and just maybe sneak into a play-off place.

Peterhead pass the ball very well and scored a great equaliser. Barring the return match at Hampden of course, I wish them the best for the rest of the season. An improving team.

I blame the lack of wind for our defeat. Fairly underhand tactics by the Bloo Toon.

You were unlucky that you came up on the one day of spring, imagine normal weather conditions will have resumed by our next home game!

What about Chucky’s chance when he was straight through? Poor last touch though after he’d done all the hard work to create the opportunity but I feel we could easily have been 3 up at half time with the presssure we had

Still not sure how we managed to play so poorly in the second but Peterhead changed things around and definitely bossed the midfield after that so I suppose there’s the answer. Plus they have McAllister, he was never going to miss those chances.
