A jury of 8 men and 4 women? Surely that can't be right?

Good interview from Harry, justice has been done. Next England manager has his integrity still intact

Assuming it's chosen at random (not sure if it is), the probability of 8 men and 4 women is about 12%. Not ridiculously outlandish.
Bearing in mind that the initial summons for jury duty may of itself not necessarily result in a 50/50 split, then, assuming it works like Scotland, you have the lottery balls with your name on it to lead to the final selection.
When I went for jury duty, I'd say it was about 75%/25% men to women as a ratio.

Everyone has agreed the money was paid into these accounts. If either Redknapp or Mandaric was able to show tax had been paid on these surely the trial would never have gone ahead. If tax was not paid that surely meant, that for some unexplained reason, tax was not due or either Redknapp or Mandaric should have paid tax on it but did not.
Hopefully as the details of the verdict are explained this becomes clearer.

I really don't get some laws.
He's quite clearly guilty. But by him saying he lied, basically you assume he's telling the truth about him lying to the paper, then there's enough doubt and he can't be found guilty.

Craig Whyte should get 'arry's lawyer on the case for the Rangers tax case. You always knew that the 'loveable cockney rouge' was going to get found not guilty.
