Thanks for the answers, both.
Yes it is a shame to turn away youngsters who are making a bit of effort. But they can't be allowed unlimited leeway, clearly.

Darren Young has been using it at half-time all season, I assume to try and prevent muscles etc from tightening up? Seems to be working for him at least as he was quoted the other day praising the Alloa physio and saying he has already played more games this season than in the last three combined.
Darren has also been lasting ninety minutes. Physio seems to be doing a great job there. I see Darren regularly at the Community Club coaching - I'll try and find out a bit more about it.

Bit ironic as for me Harding was the weak link in the Alloa team for much of the first half of the season. Credit to the Kaiser though, he has been impressive over the past few weeks. I certainly cannot agree that he is an "outstanding" player who elevates the team as a whole to a higher level, but on recent form he is well worth his place in the starting line up. I must admit I didn't think I would be saying that a few weeks ago but long may it continue.
Agree, Waspie. The defence is playing well as a unit and Ryan is a big part of that. I still wish he would attack the ball better, but we have to be pleased with the rest of his play. A lot of it is probably down to confidence. Three goals conceded in our last seven league games is excellent stuff. Having a genuine left back beside him in firstly McHattie and now Mackinnon also helps.
Finally, Scott Bain, apart from the slip up against the 'Shire, has also been consistently good.
Long may it continue indeed.

Indeed. Stewards generally are dicks and Robert Wilson can be a bit arsey, but there is only going to be one winner in any battle and it won't be the lads.

A lot of clubs when winning regularly attracts these type of troublemaker types in recent years! Shire, Albion, Montrose, Alloa.
Rest assured they piss off when reality kicks in! Well done to Alloa for hopefully nipping it in the bud
