Anybody had any issues with an HTC update recently? I downloaded the system update I received on Sunday and then my phone stopped working last night. If you take the battery out and restart it shows the start up screen (white with HTC logo) but then goes black (the phones still on as you can see a glow from the screen).

Anxious to make sure its still working as I have a lot of pics of my wee boy (1st birthday etc) that are on it and i've not had a chance to back it up yet :( (the phones only a couple of months old!)

I've had a look online and can't see any news of any issues and don't want to go down the factory reset option at this time...any help greatly appreciated

Are your photos will be saved to the SD card? If so they should be safe.

Factory reset might be your only option...

Just went to one of the photo kiosks and all the pics are on the SD card which is a relief. Might lose some videos but when speaking to the Carphone Warehouse their guy seemed to believe that if I attach the phone to the PC I should be able to back up without the phone actually 'working' again.

...i've a feeling its a factory reset on the cards!!
