just checked the weather for Kilsyth. No rain -1 tonight with some fog and then sunny in morning and afternoon. So hopefully will dry out enough.

A great result for us today but it certainly wasn't the walkover the scoreline might imply. Kilsyth could have scored in the first fifteen seconds but did go ahead less than a minute later. A change for us to score in the first minute instead of conceding one. Thorniewood had a lot of chances in the first half and although we went in at halftime two up it was not a fair reflection of the first halfs play.
The turning point in the second half was Stevie Mullens ordering off, but he has only himself to blame, you can't mouth off at the ref and expect to get away with it.
The third goal came from a penalty after Connolly pulled down Tony Martin inb the box and the ref again had little choice although I feel that our player made something of a meal of it. Big Jons reaction to his red card was totally stupid, a second red as he walked, and I'm informed he had further contremps with the ref after the game resulting in further sanctions. A shame as it had been a good game up till then and no real problems between the two sets of players. I really think this league is ours to win now with Glenafton and Thorniewood dropping more points. Shotts could catch us on paper, but with their great cup run I can't see it happening.
Congrats to Bon Accord, good to see a team from our division being last Central Region reps in the Scottish.

Think you're being a bit harsh on Tony, the Thorniewood keeper has already said he'd have taken a yellow card for the challenge. I hope you're right about the league but we still have to play Glenafton and Ardrossan home and away and go to Shotts. It seems bizarre that we have played EK, Hurlford, Renfrew, Thorniewood twice already but we haven't played either of these teams at all.

i would have took a yellow as the ref was fouled. there was no probs between the players even one of the kilsyth boys commented on the ref. we got punished for silly mistakes and missing clear chances so no complaints with the defeat. since i signed we have lost twice in the league and both to kilsyth. my complaint is the ref wasnt consistant ie what mullen said was also said to ref from players from both sides. also when took into the refs room after the game his attitude towards me and our official was terrible. if im hammered because of this little attention seeker i will walk away from the game. i understand hes getting fast tracked but surly got to be still allowed to use common sense ie big match players always get frustrated imo if he was to ref the way he did today in a big senior game it would end up 5 a side. i never ref bash and most of the refs i speak to know this but this boy was shocking and has the power to ruin teams seasons ie dishing out needless cards today
